Re: Gold Coast

I can throughly recommend our celebrant - Stig Hokanson. He is based in the Logan area, and travelled down to Byron for our wedding, so he would do the Gold Coast for sure.

He cost $500 (but that was Sept 07 prices) and that included travel time and 2 meetings at his house.

Re: Can I make my dress "go" off white?!?!

Hmmm soaking it in tea maybe ?? I know this has been suggested for veils, so it could work for a dress maybe. Don't quote me on that though. Good luck.

If you do go with this, i recommend using http://www.feather.com.au/ for anything you might need. I got a white feather fan from them for my MOH and they had fantastic service!

Yep that's where I got my feathers from. I bought them all individually and put them together myself.

Re: Chocolate Fountains.......$30

Hey that looks like a great deal. I can throughly recommend buying a choccie fountain. We had one at our wedding (instead of cake) but we paid about $60 in Target. It was such a hit.

Re: Party Sound

Party Sound were great. I think we had Glenn (or one of his staff). He forgot one or two songs, but we didn't even realise it until the next day, as we were having such a great time. We even paid him to stay on longer and he has no problem with that, as long as you give him notice (say 30 mins befor...

He can be both the MC and Dj I believe. But I had my cousin as our MC, so I never needed to ask Glenn to be our MC.

Re: I need help!!!! Only 4 days to find BM dresses & I'm lost!

Yep I agree. Both girls don't need to be in the exact same dress, (or even the exact same colour really). Now I think the best thing to do, is just sort out a dress for the MOH that is heading back to London first and foremost. Forget trying to find a dress for the other BM on this occassion. She ca...

Re: Bridesmaids dresses are here but huge problem help?

Oh man that sux big time. Now one solution might be.

Are all you bridesmaids the same size ?? If not, then get the smallest bridesmaid to try on the biggest dress and see if it fits her. Then try the next smallest etc. That way you may only need to adjust/replace the other 2 or 3 dresses.

Re: Chocolate fountain

Thanks everyone for your help. Bridecilla, what brand did you buy from target? Mistral. Target only sold one brand at the time, but they had two models. One was a light brown plastic model, and the other was metal. We bought the metal one. IMO the plastic one looked cheaper. See it would be sitting...

Re: Chocolate fountain

We had a choccie fountain at our wedding (as our cake replacement) and it was fantastic. Everyone loved it. It was such a hit. I bught one on eBay that was crap. It wasn't powerful enough to "sheet" the chocolate, so we bought another one from Target. I worked perfectly. They are about $70...

We had a difficult dance and there was NO WAY I could could dance or do the lift in my gown. So I changed at about 8.15pm. Don't regret it one bit.

We had Glenn from Partysound and for the ceremony and canapes, we had a solo artist (but he is from Lismore).

I'd recommend Glenn he was great and heaps of the girls on here have used him
