Jeweller Recommendation for custom ring Brisbane?

I have a stone which I would like to have a ring made for.

I haven't gotten any quotes yet, but I'm already worried what the cost might be.

For those of you that had your rings made what did it cost and which jeweller did you use?

Best place for bra fitting in Brisbane?

Hi guys, last time I was fitted for a bra was... maybe 15 years ago?

I had it in done in Myer, I would go straight back to them (and still might) unless anyone knows a better place.

I am guessing things will have changed in 15 years.

thanks in advance :)

Funny Inscription Ideas?

We just celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary 2 months ago, and I'm already thinking about what we'll do for our 6th! lol. We've decided to have our wedding bands inscribed with something - but nothing flowery or overly sentimental because that is just not us. So I've got 1 year to come up with som...

Re: Feeling bad turning this supplier down

You could always give her a token sum of cash (for her efforts) - or send her something for Christmas as a thank you.

I'd like to add that you are such a nice person to be worried about this, but at the end of the day you're not responsible for her.

Good luck with everything.

Re: Making friends over 30

This is such a common theme these days - people are noticing it more because they have hundreds of facebook 'friends' but spend every night and weekend alone. It was my New Years resolution to find a new best friend after my old bestie (of 10 years) dumped me. :( Well, it hasn't happened yet, I have...

Re: What makes a good wedding?

The cake! I always take pictures and always ask what flavour (I always hope for chocolate and will wrinkle my nose rudely if it's fruitcake lol) I hope you are kidding! That's incredibly rude. Not everyone has the same taste in cake flavours. I'm sure if someone complained about the flavour of cake...

I think it depends on the reason you didn't tell people to start with.

let's all think that over for a minute...

Re: What makes a good wedding?

The food - it just has to be edible and no long waits (I cannot remember a single wedding meal but I remember every late one) The bonboneirre! I love this and always remember our little gifts. :) If it's chocolate I always try to procure more from other guests :) The cake! I always take pictures and...

I use my calorie pal too - I have lost 6kgs - with 4 to go.

Nothing else has worked. MCP makes it (almost) easy. :)

Cutting it off won't make the roots any cleaner.

But if you aren't enjoying your hair then I recommend cutting it.

Gosh, my mum got married to my dad in their flat while wearing jeans.

Re: Thai sky lanterns

I love these too!

I saw them on the show 4 weddings - then looked them up on google.

They're not cheap - there's a place in Capalaba that sells them.

Good luck! xx

Deep fried Mars Bars.

I first heard about these at least 10 years ago - they were first made in either Scotland or England. I thought they sounded gross! Now I've arranged with one of my girlfriends to share one next time we meet up - they sell them at the sushi train in Carindale. Anyone tried one? I am actually pretty ...

Bagels in Brisbane???

Hi, my husband and I were in New York earlier this year and he especially loved the cream cheese bagels. It's his birthday in a few days and I thought it might be nice to surprise him with breakfast in bed - featuring bagels... I have never bought them here before, and an internet search is showing ...

Re: Has anyone seen these before?

I did buy one - from Ebay and I guess I've had it for a few years now. It's great! It holds so much fluid and I just clean it in a bowl of boiling water at the end of my period. I pack it for every holiday (with implanon you never know) I have NEVER overflowed which was an occassional issue with tam...

I'd be fine with it if the price was right and the celebrant was nice, friendly and accomodating. Why not? Coloured hair is FUN!

Re: How to overcome my feelings about NOT being married?

Hi, I'm so sorry you're feeling frustrated in your situation. I've been married twice and am a Rules Girl google it if you don't know what that is. (it was super easy to get proposed to and married using the rules) I would have just left my partner if he didn't marry me in a timely manner - I unders...

We need a new dryer. Can you recommend?

Hi guys, My dryer just died... so sad after 10 years of hard slog. So I need to find a replacement now. We had a Fisher and Paykel ED56 - I think 4.5 kilo. (doesn't have it written on) I'd go the same brand again - but I know a LOT can change in a company in 10 years... so does anyone have any recom...
