Re: do you think 5 hours is to short??

Ours was fairly short - started at about 5 and most people had left by 9. Granted it was a Sunday and everyone had to work the next day! I think 5 hours sounds ideal, tbh!! I don't think I could've stayed much longer than 5 hours anyway!

Re: Asking them to be Bridesmaids...???

I'd say a nice little card with something like, "Dear sister/bestie Because you've been such a rock in my life, I can't imagine getting married without you beside me! Will you do the honour of being one of my bridesmaids?" Short, sweet, to the point. No point in beating around the bush! Go...

Re: What is the average cost for a wedding for 65 people?

We had about 60-65 people and our reception came in at under $2500 for everything - food, drinks, decorations, flatware (we had to hire) etc. That being said, we had a REALLY low key wedding, hubby's uncle catered it, and so on. Our wedding cost less than $10k all up, but most people I know who are ...

Re: My wedding is tomorrow

Good luck, Moon!! Have a wonderful, beautiful day!!

Go natural - hot chamomile tea with a bit of honey, hot soak in a bubble bath, then curl up with a good book for half an hour and just relax!

I haven't bothered thanking a couple of DH's freeloading friends who turned up to ours - they got the date and time out of DH and rocked up there, I was absolutely dumbfounded because I don't like either of them much at all. They didn't give us a card or anything, just gatecrashed for a free feed, s...

I think we invited 80 people but because we had a Sunday wedding, lots of people (about 20!) said they couldn't come. We ended up with 60 people exactly, including the bridal party!

I don't think I could stand having hundreds of people there - I'd never get the chance to see everyone!

As long as you as individuals, and as a couple, are ready, there's no stopping you - unless of course you're not 18 (isn't this a legality?).

At least one party to the marriage has to be over 18, and if the other party is under 18 s/he needs parental consent.

I think brown suits would look okay; otherwise, would white suits be a possibility? I don't know about black - if it were me I wouldn't because it would be too dark, IYKWIM? Too many dark colours all at once.

The questions I had for my reception venue were stuff like: Are candles allowed to be lit and used inside? Is there a place smokers can light up? Do the overhead lights have to be on at all times (or are we allowed to have them off and just have party lighting going)? What conditions are there for g...

I actually had that brainwave far too late in my planning lol - get married at uni. QUT at Kelvin Grove has some pretty awesome locations for photos and they have Beadles on the Quad cafe, which does catering (and the food is pretty damn good, I assure you!); also, QUT at Gardens Point is right next...

I don't know if they have any regional centres; my advice would be to check out their website or ring up and ask.
