Re: Has anyone seen this dress?

Hi Holly! Long time no see :) I don't have the URL she got it from, but I could ask her, if that would help?

Has anyone seen this dress?

I'm MOH for a friend, and she's found a photo of this dress on ebay. Does anyone know who the original designer is? She's looking for photos of the dress from other angles.

Re: Unique ideas for reception?

I think that the risk is that these ideas get popular REALLY quickly so what starts as a unique idea can inadvertantly end up being what everyone is doing. I totally agree. I know the photobooth idea is pretty popular these days (esp. since the almost 3 years since our own wedding), but I think the...

Unique ideas for reception?

Hi all, it's been a while since I was around here, but one of my good friends has asked me to be her BM in Feb 2012, so I'm doing a bit of research for her here :) My friend was planning on having a photobooth at her reception, but her FSIL (who is getting married 2 months before her) has decided to...

Re: Really high heels

You shouldn't "need" to get a specific heel height of shoe - any dressmaker worth their salt will be able to hem your wedding dress to an appropriate length based on the shoes you select. Also keep in mind the fact that you are going to be on your feet all day - 14cm heels are not exactly ...

Re: Did you have a guestbook

Yeh we had one. Bit of a waste of time IMO - people wrote out all their lovely messages to us in their cards anyway, so I don't know why I bothered. I prefered reading the messages in the cards than in the guestbook.

Re: Is any watching the Royal Wedding?

It's not really a high priority for me. I'll probably flick it on and have a peek, but I can't say I'm terribly excited about the royal wedding to be honest.

Re: Invitation etiquette question

Correct etiquette would be to send each sister an individual invitation, regardless of whether they have a partner or not. If you are planning on inviting each of them AND a partner for each, then they should definitely be receiving individual invitations. According to the proper etiquette, the only...

Re: What fragrance are you having on the big day?

I had Vera Wang - Bouquet. It was one I chose brand new for the wedding, so now every time I use it, the scent always reminds me of our day.

I'm not really a fan of the idea. To me, it smacks a little of an afterthought.

Re: Mums pay up for nausea wonder drug

Zofran is a miracle drug, it is literally the only thing that has had any effect whatsoever on my morning sickness. Maxolon did nothing, and all those morning sickness remedies out there are an absolute joke (eat foods with ginger in them; eat a dry cracker before getting out of bed, etc etc), when ...

Re: Finalising Music...questions!!

Do they include a reflection song in a wedding? While the priest is cleaning up all the communion stuff? OK, so would I need to include another song under 'communion' to make it 3 songs or will 2 include the reflection time?? We also had a full Catholic mass with communion. 2 songs should include t...

Re: DYP needs help movin to Brisbane & other Brisbane related Qs

I've just realised that we would need to buy a whole new wardrobe as we have almost NO winter clothes! 8O How exciting... We are really looking forward to change in seasons. DH was squealing in the car this morning that he would most likely be arriving around end of Feb, March where the weath...

Re: DYP needs help movin to Brisbane & other Brisbane related Qs

Morningside is a nice area, it's close to the river, has excellent public transport (buses, trains, and close to citycat terminals - ferries), and is a good distance to the city. Personally I don't like Acacia Ridge, but I generally favour suburbs on the Eastside and Bayside anyway.

Re: Photographer question - use of photos

It is 100% the right of the customer to refuse the photographer to use the photos in advertising etc. I don't think you can get around this. I feel very strongly about this due to my profession. I work in the mental health industry, and there are certain types of photos and information about me that...
