Re: Cake Flavours

We had 3 tiers.

Bottom-Marble choc/white choc mud
Middle- Caramel mud
Top- Orange and Poppyseed mud( my fave by far)

We froze the top tier and ate it on our 1st anniversary. It was still perfect.

Re: Disposable Cameras

We had them on the tables. The photos weren't great, but we didn't expect them to be so all was good. They gave us some candid memories, through our guests eyes, which was what we wanted. Also, we had around 10 kids there, aged between 2 and 15, and the cameras kept them busy and gave them lots of e...

Re: Flowergirls

Our daughter was 5. She spent the night before with me and my B\M's and got ready with us on the day. She was there for the before photos. She stood beside the BM's for the ceremony and was present for all the post ceremony photos. She sat at the bridal table, but ended up running around dancing and...

Re: Readings suitable for 12 & 13yr old

Our son was 12. He read The Wedding Prayer by Robert Louis Stevenson. It's short, sweet and says it all IMO. Wedding Prayer Robert Louis Stevenson Lord, behold our family here assembled. We thank you for this place in which we dwell, for the love that unites us, for the peace accorded us this day, f...

Mine arrived just as I was leaving to take the kids to school. I took it with me, and ripped the box open in the school car park. :P

Re: Bad presents please list!

A whole table of our friends put in for the one gift. One of those 'moving pictures'. You know the type with the added 'birdsong/waterfall' soundtrack? It lights up and is about 6 foot long. They must have picked it up on their way cos it wasn't even wrapped. Although we were happy to recieve...

Hi Girls, can anyone reccommend a good cake supplier on the north side at a good price? Hi Tan. We got our cake from http://www.foreveraftercakes.com.au/ It was 3 tiers, all different flavours. $375 including delivery to Mt Ommaney. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee160/roberta2000_photos/Pro%20...

It's my son's 13 birthday so he gets to choose for tonight.

We are having Nachos, followed by Giant Choc Chip Cookie Cake.

Should be interesting.

I've just heard on the news that they are calling off the search, as there is little to no chance of survivors.

It's shocking that an aeroplane can just disappear. :(

As a bonus it was too big.

One night, both my sister(BM) and I wore our dresses while having drinkies.

If you are unhappy with them, then you should have them taken off.

Personally, I think I would prefer the dress without them. It's beautiful. :D

Re: Difficult Father/Family Arguments

I'm a little confused. Why should your Mum have to pay 'your Dad's share' ? Why can't you and your FH pay for your wedding yourselves? you are the ones getting married after all. A big grown up decision comes with big grown up responsibilties. I think, especially these days, that it is unreasonable ...

Carmex.

You can get it from chemists. It is only around $7 and works!!!!!!

Another thing I use sometimes is ice. If the sore is painful and swollen the ice will reduce the swelling and I believe it also does something to reduce the severity of the outbreak by slowing the virus. It works, anyway.

Re: Whats your bridezilla moment?

lol I had a couple. - I insisted on a 3 tier cake in the exact style I wanted, even though we had under 40 guests. :P It was worth it though. - I cracked it cos my sister's eyelashes are 'too straight' and made her buy a heated eyelash curler that we didn't even use in the end. - even though our bud...
