Re: How did you feel the 1st time you tried on a dress?

I agree with the other girls that it could just be the style of dress that you are trying on. I remember when i was trying on dresses, whenever I tried on a white dress it just felt wrong. I ended up buying a pink dress, and I felt so much more comfortable in it.

Re: Choosing a priest

Definately meet all 3 priest and pick the one that suits your style the best. All priests are different, just like celebrants. My husband and I didnt choose our priest, because he came with the church. But he really understood us, and what we wanted in our service, so the service and his sermon were...

Re: OOS & seating chart help

For my OOS I used publisher, so that i could set it up in a booklet format. For my seating chart, I used Word. If you are having circular tables, use can use one of the 'Smart Art Graphics' and there is a relationship chart called 'Radial Ven'. I hope that make any sense. I used the newest version o...

Re: Is it rude to have just a ceremony?

I agree with the other girls. My husband and I both look back on our wedding day and we both agree that we enjoyed the ceremony way more than the reception. In fact, once we got all our location shots done, we just wanted to go back to the hotel and spend the night with each other. So go for it! The...

I've been putting off doing the post wedding stuff, such as thank yous. I'm just glad that the wedding planning is over, but there is stuff still to do! grrr. Just a question, do you think it is possible to get post wedding depression? Because I've been having trouble sleeping at night. My mind just...

Back to work today :(

Got to try out my new name on the kids though. Got the standard "I'll still call you Ms Reinke" hehe. One kid asked me why I had to go and get married. And I have a new pidgeon hole - i've moved up the name ladder, from R to L. I'm Moving up in the world!!! hehe

What are you spending your wishing well money on?

We had a wishing well at our wedding last week, and decided that we would use the gift money to buy a new fridge. We have bought our fridge today (yay!) and I was wondering what other people have spent their wishing well money on, or what you are planning to spend it on. I'm not asking how much you ...

Re: September 2008 Part 5

We did have 2 no shows, but they let us know that morning, and it was a very good reason. What I got cranky at, was people leaving early. It seemed to me that from the moment we had our first dance, to the end of the night, i was saying "goodbye" to people. and not just older guests, the f...

Re: September 2008 Part 5

Its good to see people coming back from their honeymoons. I also have to go to work on Monday, and I'm starting to stress about it. I know its silly, its just that with the wedding, I feel like I really havn't had a holiday. Oh well, 7 weeks of hard core work, then a nice downhill slope of 3 weeks b...

Re: Freezing the Wedding Cake

Thanks for all the help girls. Spoke to mum today (who is a tupperware consultant) and she gave me a tupperware container to put the cake in. She told me that if you just put your cake in the freezer in glad wrap, it will take on the flavours of other items stored in your freezer, over the year.

Re: What song are you getting announced to at the reception?

We had "It had to be you" by micheal buble. I wanted to use this song as our first dance, but DH wanted something more modern. We compromised and had it as our entry song. It worked well since it has a great intro, and it finished just as we were sitting down :)
