Re: Wedding Photographer Recommendations? Lilydale, VIC

I follow Claire's blog and like her work too. I was actually thinking about going with her but was a bit put off by the fact she seems like she only got into weddings a year ago. She certainly seems to be getting a fair few bookings recently though. Clare didn't "only get into weddings a year ...

Our first "big" purchase was probably furniture - but we had a joint account set up for a fair while before that, so probably petrol or groceries :D

Re: Sorry but you cannot use search at this time URRGH!

WC has been lame ever since the Newspaper-gate incident of April 09 The people who joined after this, and even some of the ones that were around then probably don't realise how bad it was, and in hindsight the actual event itself wasn't the end of the world. But it caused an uproar in the same way ...

Re: How do i have a budget wedding and still please everyone?

You absolutely don't need to please everyone , only yourself and your FH! It's definitely doable within your budget, you just have to be prepared to look outside the square and compromise on things. And lots of DIY! missmariek posted some great tips, and for vendor information have a look in the Per...

Re: Eternity Rings

I'll be getting an eternity ring on our first wedding anniversary. Because i have short fingers, i'm going to wear it on the same finger but on the other hand. And it will be more of a "dress ring" rather than the traditional eternity style. nothing worse then having short chubby fingers ...

Re: RSVP day is Friday

For my MoH's wedding, the cut off date was the friday. On the Saturday, I took the list and called everyone. should have heard the guilt come down the phone line when it was the maid of honour that they didn't even know ringing them to ask what the deal was  It also meant I got away with 30 se...

Re: What naughty things does your cat do?

My little Charli cat is so naughty  - She figured out how to get in the roof! - She claws her way up and down the security screens, then sits on the top of the wooden door, just swingin' - She is forever bringing little lizards and grasshoppers inside the house - She loves playing with the tv c...

Re: Wedding cars

It's not rude at all for a couple of the bridal party to go with the photographer. Although it's a good point about the size of your dress/privacy for you and your brand new husband...I guess it comes down to whether you're prepared to pay another $250 (or whatever it would be) for "looks"?

Re: How many wine varieties to have on tables?

I think people are generally happy with one sparkling, one white and one red, unless you are particularly into wine and want more. Just choose wines that have broad appeal, nothing overly sweet or very dry but something in between that isnt too specific. Personally at a wedding I wouldn't expect mo...

Re: How does Etsy Work?

It's the same sort of concept as Ebay, except things are either handmade or vintage/recrafted. You can buy things or request things to be made to your specifications :D

Edited to add: you don't have to bid against other people, if it's listed, then you can buy it straight out...

Just his phone....we eloped, so used it to ring family after the ceremony...He didn't have anything else on him as our ceremony/photos/ "reception" was all onsite :)
