Re: What TV Ads do you HATE?

I really like the Coles Ad, with the band playing the jingle. But the one I absolutely hate is the "little red quote". I mute the TV every time it is on.

Re: We have a tentative booking :)- Chateau Wyuna

Although I haven't been there at a function, we have delivered quite a few cakes there. Also, there have been a lot of brides from a few forums that have been very happy with that venue. We were impressed with the set up and the overall "look".

Just remember that although your fh's family might do things this way, you however do not have to.

Re: Decorating the cake table

That last post is ridiculous. Looking at some of the cake table decorations, it is too much and subtracts from the overall effect that the gorgeous cake would make on a simple decorated table. Some decorations, so long as it isn't higher than the bottom of the cake is fine. An over done table looks ...

Really you have the best of both worlds with a train that can be hooked up later.

Coral's cakes are really good. They are on the other side of Melbourne, but deliver to all areas. They have over 35 flavours and will send you pics at your request. The no. is 87632412.

Yep Annie, different scents. Then they will be different colours too, just imagine how pretty they will be.

I would definitely buy the 2, then you can decide what you want to wear when later. Particularly as fh has OK'd it, what have you got to lose?

Re: Framed Bouquet

Curly, that is gorgeous. Looks so pretty. My daughter did the same, she got a bigger frame and put bouquet, and some other mementos from the wedding in it. They really are so much nicer than just having them stuffed into a crystal cabinet or something.

Re: Cake flavour - mint chocolate and marble?

As a cake decorator with over 35 mud cake flavours, I can tell you that choc mint is really popular. Have what you want, if you are worried about it being popular with your guests, have it as your smaller tier with the marble the bigger one. Otherwise don't worry, it is lovely.

Re: Planning my Vic wedding from Canada!

I have my own cake decorating business and often make cakes to go overseas as well as delivery all over Victoria. Don't be put off by distance, we actually don't meet in person quite a few of our clients' until we deliver. You can get a "feel" of your vendor from the warmth and tone of ema...

Re: Best dishwasher tablets/powder?

I have used the Aldi tablets since I have had my dishwasher and wouldn't use anything else. Yep, I do use Rinse Aid as well. And I get a cleaner to clean all the gunk out of the dishwasher every so often.

Definitely the HR. The "Pippa" dress isn't going to look as pretty with ivory lace and to me it looks a bit too "bridey".

I don't know if the 1st bracelet is too expensive or not, but I love it. I don't think it is plain at all. And no. 3, the pearl b/l is my no. 2.

Re: high grade cell abnormalities

I am so relieved, as I am sure you and M are. Be grateful that you have 3 appointments next week, it is this calibre of care that you need right now to get your health back to what it should be, so that you can feel "yourself" again. Emotionally, it will probably take longer. You have been...

Re: high grade cell abnormalities

Great news about your ovaries. You must be feeling better about that at least. Polyps are nothing to worry about generally, so I would imagine that if this is all they find, yippee.
Laura & I go to see our doc tomorrow. At last.

Re: Angelina Jolie Double Mastectomy

I hate how just because she is a celebrity it is a big deal. There are so many everyday heroines who have done this, but no-one takes notice because they aren't well known. One of the magazines did an article on sisters whose mother had passed on the cancer gene, so they all had mastectomies. To be ...
