Re: September 2010

I really need to get my bum into gear, I’ve still got so many little things to do, the letter press invites arrived almost 3 weeks ago & I’ve still not printed the inserts for the pocket folds (Or designed them!) I must get stuck into it this weekend or we’ll have a wedding with no guests. My mu...

Re: Fish???

We went to a wedding a few years ago and they had fighter fish in fish bowls The bride put under one chair at the table a pack of food & a note with care instructions about the fish, then when the MC invited everyone in to be seated he asked everyone to look under the chairs for a surprise. It w...

Re: DIY problems - help!

Don't stress I think your using all the wrong adhesives. I’m not invite expert but I’ve scrapbooked & card making for ages. Vellum is difficult to hide the adhesive, the most common way to adhear it to cardstock is to use a brad (like a decorative split pin maybe $2-3 for 25) BUT I love the idea...

Re: Purchasing Maggie Sottero gowns from the U.S

I know that there are several online companies that act as a local post office box, so that you can have your items in the US delivered locally then the company ships to Australia for you. I use this service for craft supplies often with no problems. Maybe something you can look at?

Welcom Supermum 2010, Congratulations on your up coming wedding you should treat the pending birth & wedding of your FBIL as an exciting time rather then thinking that you have to focus on them rather then your self. I’m sure that she would probably appreciate bouncing some wedding ideas off you...

Re: September 2010

I have no idea about my hens party it's a huge surprise for me, I know that my MOH & my 3 bridesmaids will be up to their wickedest and to be honest it scares the pants off me. (In a good way) I know we’re travelling somewhere as FH let that little part slip but that is it. My only requests that...

Re: Wedding Planners?

I do wish I had one at the start as getting the ball rolling with venues and caterers as I did find that difficult. Someone with a list of contacts and could negotiate the prices would have been nice BUT on the other hand I do feel a since of achievement to be planning such a huge event in our lives...

Wedding Readings

We’re at the point in our planning process where we need to choose readings. The brief: We are having a civil ceremony by the ocean (not on the beach) in Agnes Waters. The theme is classic black & white our first date was at this location and we like the relaxed atmosphere of Agnes Waters that’s...

Re: insuring your engagment/wedding rings

We’re insured with Comm Insure & put the rings on our H&C policy, we have to provide a valuation for any item over $1000. So we just insured it for the valuation which like most people will be more then the purchase price. Depending on your insurer & coverage it can change a fair bit, ju...

Re: Cooking with a stainless steel pan

You will either love it or hate it, my mum loves hers, and I can't stand to cook with them all the extra oil needed and burning of food, I have a heavy based non stick one and it cooks like a dream. Just get a new one or offer him to cook each night, lol!
