Re: Duosheng - Dress Measurements

thanks ladies, you won't believe how long I searched the page for that

Will definitly get a dressmaker to do the measurements (my aunt is one, so nice and easy).

Thanks for the warning, I will make sure I leave enough time to make any necessary alterations.

Duosheng - Dress Measurements

Hi ladies, I have recently received a quote to have my BM dresses made. They service has been so prompt and I am incredibly happy so far, my only problem is that I have been asked to provide measurements, I asked which measurements are required and if there were instructions on how to take them, but...

Re: Green bridal shoes

I got white Alan Pinkus shoes, most of their collection are fully dyeable (I am dyeing mine after the wedding). I just emailed head office and they sent me the name of somewhere local to me that they recommended I use :)

Re: Lets do the oppisite - things you WON'T scrimp on

Photography was very important to us, as was providing delicious food and quality wine and beer.

My dress was something that I planned on spending alot on, but when I tried on samples at my designers and he drew the sketch, I was in love, I just couldn't consider anything else.

Re: Would you Re-Design your first wedding gown

I'm not a 2nd-time-wedding person anyway, but just thought I'd comment... all of the replies to this post seem to assume that the dress carries bad memories/bad karma from a relationship gone wrong. If the reason for a 2nd marriage wasn't because you were divorced, but widowed, would you still find...

Re: Wedding Bare Neccessities

Just a point about getting married in Catholic Church and the 'donation'. You mentioned that you were an agnostic Catholic. Unless you are a regular parishoner most Churches will give you a set donation price and it isn't really negotiable. Their view is that you are able to marry in your own parish...

Re: Cash Bar

I agree that it really depends on your social circle / family. In my circle a cash bar would cause alot of problems and snippy comments, whilst we have attended several dry weddings (two due to religious reasons and one for a recovering alcoholic) and there were no comments and everyone just accepte...

Re: So.... if someone doesn't give u a gift..

Personally I think everyone who attended / helped / gave a gift should receive a thankyou. For our engagement party I set aside some time each evening and wrote a personal message to each guest thanking them for attending and also for their gift if they gave us one. I was honoured that they made the...
