Re: What has annoyed you about other peoples weddings?

I went to a wedding at a winery a couple of months ago - only one thing annoyed me.. the bus. The Bride and Groom were good enough to arrange for a bus for the guests to travel to and from the winery (the winery was just outside a small town so taxis are few and far between). BUT we had to pay $10 e...

Re: Bodytrim

sorry guys had not realised that you had posted replys. I lost a total of 13 kg. Went from 94 to 81kg from Sep 2010 to April 2011. In that time I didn't stick to the program over the 3 weeks if christmas or the from the begining of April... I also cheated a few more times than once a week on the occ...

Re: Bonbonniere necessary?

I think its a nice touch - and if I'm honest the wedding I went to that didn't have them I was dissapointed... however I don't like getting knick knack stuff.. can't go wrong with choccy's! If they're left behind then theres just more for you to eat!

Re: Best & Worst Bonbonniere

From personal experience.. Best - bottle of wine (although that could be exxy) I also like stubby holders (because of their practicality and honestly you can never have too many) or choccy's Worst - some cutesy teddybear statue penholder thing I think some sort of chocolates/biscuits/sweets is the b...

Re: Alternative Processional Songs

I'm the same - what a drama it was trying to pick a song.... my DH is the lovey dovey type and listens to main stream music - I am the JJJ lover! My processional was 'Here Comes the Sun' by the Beatles... I had it sung acoustically (sp?) for our wedding and it sounded really cool! I really like the ...

Re: Painful dads

My dad lives in the UK - he wasn't so interested in the wedding although was interested about who was invited.. we had a few clashes and I even went Bridezilla on him the day before the wedding.. but it all worked out in the end and no love was lost. Dont stress so much - your dad loves you and will...

Re: Invitation drama - Please HELP!

I think you have made some very valid points and are making the right decision. If you have booked everything you need to - then send out the invite. Don't worry about what your FH's parents - or yours - opinions are.. you will clash with a lot of other things as well during the wedding planning.. j...

Re: Bodytrim

I am on bodytrim at the moment I am not sure what the bodytrim plus difference is but this is what I do on the normal one. Basically it is based on 6 meals - 3 main and 3 snacks - all including protein (and yes milk products are not counted) For the first three days you eat nothing but protein - thi...

Re: How much do you spend on your groceries?

gosh - we budget $500 for shopping a fortnight... sometimes we will spend upt to $600 if you include all those little trips for milk and bread etc. We are a family of 3.5 (my daughter only lives with us 50% of the time) - Our grocery bill has nearly doubled in the past few year. We always shop at Co...

Re: OS Rellies

I was in a similar situation... (actually two!) So I'll tell you what happened to me and maybe it will help a bit... My sister is going through some serious problems at the moment and isn't speaking to our Mum or one of our close friends. I invited all 3 to the wedding.. for me all three had to be t...

Re: Invite Postage costs

Pretty sure it goes on weight too. I had the signature pocket folds from C&P and mine cost $1.20 to send in Australia and $3 'something' for overseas. I only sent the ones from out of town and hand delivered the rest to save on cost. I think once you put all the inserts etc in the invite there i...

Re: I wish someone told me..............before my wedding day.

Wow I can't believe I can finally post here.. I always used to read the advice from other brides and I do believe that it helped. However... these are my two cents :D 1. No matter how much rest to try to get (good advice from Soni@) you will still be absolutley SHATTERED after the day. It took both ...

Re: Cards and Pockets

I got mine from there too. I found the website easy to navigate and had no problems with the samples etc (definitely order samples first.. colours NEVER look the same was what they do on your PC screen!). The hardest part was printing them. I did them myself (made a custom template in publisher) aft...

Re: Maggie Sottero Dress - Overseas

Try Mariposa Bridal - they are in the US as well and is where I brought my Maggie Sottero dress from. They offered an express fee to get my dress quicker (can't remember how quick).
If the dress isn't on their website (mine wasn't) email them and ask.
