Selling your dress

Just wondering if any one has or is thinking about selling their wedding dress? and how you did/are/will do it? One thing I'm a little worried about is that my dress is custom made, so not a typical size 12 which might make it hard to sell. I understand that a lot of people might not want to sell th...

Re: Pre/Post wedding celebration wording

We included this card with our invites. Its not the best pic but the top says Friday Night Celebration. About half the guests from the wedding came, some even just for a drink and to let us know they have made it :D

Re: Hair and Makeup in Sydney CBD as a Guest?

If you are close to Pitt st book in with a make up counter at Westfield, I recommend Mac. This is what I do when ever I need my make up done. It usually cost around $90 and you then get to pick $90 worth of make up and they always do a fantastic job. As for hair I think any hair dresser in the Pitt ...

Re: Are matching bridesmaid dresses a big deal?

This isn't the best pic but each of my BMs had a slightly different dress. They were all by the same designer in the same colour and material so there was a little consistency but they each chose the dress that suited their body shape best and made them feel comfortable

Re: to supply bus or not that is the question

We had the same situation for our wedding and we hired a bus. We asked guests to let us know if they required the bus when they RSVPed and where they needed picking up/dropping off. Everyone was so appreciative and really gave everyone the opportunity to relax and have a good time knowing they didn'...

Re: Gifts...

I know how you feel!! I never received anything from my sister (also MOH). She is normally a very over generous person but I know she spet a lot of time (and I'm sure money) on my kitchen tea that I don't feel comfortable or know how to bring it up with her.

Re: Ideas for Table Names instead of Table Numbers

FH and I are both ver passionate NRL followers, I support the Roosters and him Manly. We are naming the bridal table after a NRL legend who has played for both clubs, then my side of the tables will be named after Roosters players and his Manly. Even though we are having a formal wedding thought th...

Re: Where did you get your invitations from?

I have always DIYed invites for other events, 21st Dad's 50th and engagement, and really didn't really have the time to do it for the wedding. We ordered a set from etsy. They were fully customised, multiple proofs as well as individual guest address printing and cost approx $7. Only a little more t...

Re: how much do you spend on wedding favours

We donated $500 to 2 charities as our favors and then had cootie catches made with trivia questions about DH and i and a paragraph in the middle about the donations we made. Total including printing would have been $5050
