Re: Best dishwasher tablets/powder?

I recently have changed to the Finish Gel. It's fab!!! The tablets never seem to dissolve and always found bits floating around. Powder the same.

The gel is a little more pricey, but well worth it I thought. Dishes come out nice and shiny too. You only fill the container to 2/3 as well.

Re: The other awkward moment

It hurts, we had DH's aunty and uncle accept, but when it came to the wedding they just didn't turn up. Plain rude really. If you didn't want to come just say NO. It's created a huge family feud it's terrible.

I said for the macarena, B52's, Abba and grease not to be played.

Not that anyone new, but I told the DJ to come tell me if anyone put a request in. One person did and I said no, lol.

Re: Moreton, Straddie island wedding?

I was a guest at SIL's wedding on Stradbroke Island. The boat ride was pleasant and the food was buffet style. It was nearly two years ago, but from what I remember it was all good. The bugs were out in force when I was there, lucky they had some extra spray so that was good. Lots of guest stayed at...

Re: Building boost grant and general home loan questions

I work for Westpac and they don't allow the FHOG (First Home Owners Grant) to be used as a deposit. As a minimum you'll need to demonstrate 5% of the purchase price. If you don't have that you can also use your rental payments - that still need to equal 5% of the purchase price. It demonstrates As f...

Re: Discharged Bankrupt Home Loan

I work for one of the top 4 banks and I'd say that Mortgage Insurance would not be possible. So 80% or under would be best. Some lenders MAY approve you, however watch out for higher than normal interest rates or high fees.

I agree, the kits are worthless.

I visited a lawyer in regards to a pre nup and it was going to be close to $1000 all up.

Re: Everyday Savings

It's just the two of us and our power bill was massive. We did some investigation and it was our tv - LCD. Just leaving it on standby was massive cost. We cut $350 off our quarterly bill just by turning it off at the power. I try to stock up on specials. I also check out specials on the web. I saved...

My DH did - my first trial anyway. I knew I hated it so it didn't matter, as that was NOT what I wanted. I walked out and he said "WTF is with your eyes?" LOL
