Re: Moving from Sydney to Perth/Mandurah area

I moved from Perth to Queensland in 2008. I was living at home at the time, only had 3 boxes of belongings, and sent it across the country using Air Road Direct . Back then I found them reasonably priced, and I sent my $3000 computer through them with no issues. I think my stuff arrived a week after...

Re: Updating facebook status on wedding day? Tacky or cute?

I look forward to changing my relationship status and surname, but I don't think I'll be doing it on the day. I don't think it's all that important. I actually think I'll be avoiding using my phone for anything other than calls on the day.

Re: Best dishwasher tablets/powder?

I can't say I'm very experienced with dishwashers, we had one in our first house and it sucked. We used powder but found frequently we would open the dishwasher and half the powder would still be in the little tray. Use less powder, make sure tray is dry, still did it. I think we tried tablets for a...

My beep test result from the first week was 2.5. I got 4.4 yesterday. Still not overly fabulous, but it's something! I've never been good at running

Re: Who contributed to your wedding fund?

We've paid for mostly everything, except my Mum is contributing towards the reception, our mini-moon accommodation and FBIL/FSIL's flights. She's also contributed a bit towards my dress, the BM's dresses and little bits and pieces along the way.

Re: April Weight Loss thread

This morning my food coach encouraged me to try on my size 10 jeans. I bought these jeans back in 2008, wore them for about a year, and then couldn't fit them anymore. I've been wearing a size 12 pair since then.

THEY FIT 8O

Re: March Weight Loss Thread

I find chicken a lot more filling than tuna, so if I have a salad, I pop in some chicken breast, two boiled eggs and all the boring stuff:P Otherwise, for filling me up, I've taken to eating Lite Cruskits and Philedelphia Lite as well. Sandwiches aren't too bad if you avoid white bread (which I don...

Re: March Weight Loss Thread

Oh I hurt soooo much. On Monday I had to lift weights with my PT. Never lifted weights before, oh so heavy! On Tuesday I went to a body balance class, it's like yoga and tai chi and pilates. Struggled to lift my arms in the air and I'm very uncoordinated. After all this, every muscle officially ache...

Re: March Weight Loss Thread

Illikaeri, that really sounds amazing! Well done! You feel like sharing your before Foxy Challenge? Maybe we need something similar here too in order to keep us motivated? I dunno. I printed out some calendar pages that I made in Excel last night as part of my new drive and focus plan. I've done up...

Re: March Weight Loss Thread

I seem to be maintaining, which isn't that bad I guess! I go to the gym 2-3 times a week which isn't as much as I'd like but I don't want to over-exert myself. FSIL has done exactly that; she looks amazing but now she's looking at the prospect of needing hip surgery because she pushed herself too ha...

Re: February Weight Loss Thread

Bahhhhh! Yesterday I went to the gym and spent an hour on the treadmill walking at a brisk pace and listening to a uni lecture. I stopped for short breaks throughout it, but I must've overexerted myself, because now the right side of my hip is quite sore. I am so bummed because now I feel like an ol...

Re: February Weight Loss Thread

LOL Illikaeri - I hate the elliptical... my thighs BURN!! I can do about 2 minutes on it now though... when I first started it was about 30 seconds! I'm guessing you're at Fernwood judging by the 'foxy challenge' comment - I love Fernwood! I wish they had one in this bumhole of a town... I'm on the...

Re: February Weight Loss Thread

Illikaeri - how did your gym induction go? AFM - Weigh in day today.... only a 200g loss, but it's nearly TTOTM so I was expecting a gain. I've also struggled with TTOTM-related food cravings - I've had a mini binge the last two nights :| hopefully I can turn that around ASAP. Oh my is the best way...

Re: February Weight Loss Thread

Tomorrow morning I have my gym induction! At 7am! I wake up at 7am! I am excited though :D I've got a schedule of their classes and whenever FH has an open shift I'll go to the early morning class and when he has a close shift I'll go to the class after work, so I can still see him all the time. The...
