Re: Anybody else HATE their wedding photos?

I can totally relate to this! We wanted to save some cash and asked a family friend to do our wedding photography instead of paying the professionals. I really regret it now and look back on my photos with great disappointment. I mean this woman did have a really good camera (photography is her bigg...

Re: Hunter Valley/Newcastle - Videographer recs?

Hi,

We got married at The Vintage and we used Kross Video Productions. They were really good. We were pleased with them and their work.

We gave them away to the guests - whoever wanted them could take them. First in best dressed.

Re: Newcastle / Hunter Valley Part 5

I used Alexandra Wanless for our wedding back in October. She was wonderful and very affordable. We were originally going to use fake flowers and then her quote came in at $100 more than the artifical ones so we went with her. Very happy!

Hi

Try Ironbark Hill Vineyard. They are located on Hermitage Road Pokolbin and have everything on site! Venue, brand new chapel, accommodation and great photo ops in the vines!

Ripped Veil

Hi, Please help me! I had a long veil for my wedding back in October and I'd say one of the guests has accidentally put their high heel through my veil as there is a tear in it. I thought that this could be repaired by way of "invisible mending" where you can't actually see the tear or whe...

Re: white gold vs yellow gold

My E ring and wedder are both white gold and I prefer this for me over yellow gold. Just a personal preference. Maybe its cause I always wore silver when I was growing up. I also think that white gold brings out the diamonds better than yellow gold. This is just my opinion.

Re: How many are wearing a veil over their face & why?

I had a veil and I did wear it over my face. I always pictured it would be this way since I was a little girl. We had a traditional wedding and hubby requested that I did wear it over my face.

Re: Just Curious

I wouldn't mind an eternity ring, maybe when we have our first child. I would wear it every day on the other side of my engagment ring. So the wedder on one side and the eternity ring on the other.

Re: Bomboniere cancer charity ideas.

We did this too - great idea!

We contacted the australian cancer foundation and they sent us lime green (!) ribbons to remember hubby's father by. People did wear them though. And we had a little note on each table explaining why they were given ribbons instead of bonbonerrie (sp!).

Re: Ceiling Draping too much?

Hi, Just letting you know that we paid between $900 - $1000 for our ceiling draping! Having said that, we did love it (it gave the room a nice feel and all our guests commented about it). This price was for the hire of the draping as well as the fairy lights for the whole ceiling and it was a large ...

Re: Newcastle / Hunter Valley Part 5

Hi, Melb73 - The only place that I can think of in the area that will allow you to do your own catering and byo alcohol is Pokolbin Hall. Swediespie - We used a florist called Alexandra Wanless in the Kurri Kurri area. She was fantastic and she was reasonably priced as well. We found her to be cheap...
