Re: Rockhampton - Part 2

I think it's different if they are family kids or friend's children. I don't think friends will be offended if your neices and nephews were there while their kids weren't invited. I think the problems would be if you invite some family children and not others or if they are from your side and not hi...

Re: What matches this purple bridesmaid dress?

Here is a pic of one of my bridesmaid who wore that exact dress. Our colors were purple and silver, she wore purple accessories and silver flats. Our centerpieces were purple but bouquets light pink.

She didn't want to show her arms so we got her a shawl but you get the idea. :)

Re: when should i colour my hair?

how about NOW :D. Have you done it yourself before? If you have you can try and if something happens you can make a smart quick appointment with a hairdresser. I think your hair will still look nice and it would have had time to settle if you give it a week. If you are going to make an appointment t...

Thanks Manda. Good to see how it has or if not changed, as far as I'm concerned I am sure that groceries aren't the same price as two years ago

Re: Negative Mrs. Association- Advice?

I had kind of the same issue and it did get easier when I related it to FH, NOT his mother or family. For example, when we were introduced at the reception, I asked that they welcome Mr. and Mrs. David S......., doing it that way felt like it was about him and me and had nothing to do with others. H...

Re: Your opinion on the price of the glasshouse

I think it depends on two things, one being the inclusions as in does the photographer package include anything or just your photos in high resolution on a disc, as well as the number of guests that you are having because one thing is to pay $200.00 per head for 50 guests and get all that and a diff...

Re: Backup Plan

Maybe you can ask the hotel if there is a room that you could use should you need it? We had a garden wedding last December but it rained and rained and while it did not rain on the day the ground was too saturated so we had a nice "outdoorsy" room at the reception venue and then we just r...

I did not have Boudoir with her but she did our wedding and the photos were great and she had good customer service. Have a look at the packages and gallery to see if it's somewhat what you are after

Re: what to wear to a black tie wedding

I think people not normally go as far as writing black tie in the invitation unless they mean "very formal" which to me, calls for a long dress. Strictly speaking, men are meant to wear a tux and if I was standing next to DH wearing a tux I would be wearing a long dress as I feel I will lo...

Re: Neck and shoulder pain!!

My DH suffers from the neck and shoulder/back pain and I bought him a magnetic neck thingy that he put on at night, he didn't complain again and it did make a difference, he said he didn't want to accept it as he reckons the pain will comeback when he didn't use it and sometimes was hot and he didn'...

Re: Ceremony rehearsal - worth having??

We had one too, we practiced everything. It was good to have the chance to time the music and adjust our walking accordingly, we had a chance to practice what my dad and FH would do upon presentation of the bride, we had unity candles so that was practiced too and things like DH's ring not fitting i...

Re: Just Curious

FH had bought me a set of engagement ring and wedding band, the wedding band having diamonds to match the engagement ring which is stone and 5 smaller diamonds each side. I wanted another ring much the same to have one front one behind engagement ring so we bought an eternity ring that matched exact...

Re: MOH

My bridesmaids were DH's daughters, both under age. DH had no best men so we had his uncle witness for him and my Mum witness for me. The way I thought of it was my brother helped with the music, my dad gave me away and my mum was my witness, everyone had a job and felt that they contributed to our ...

Re: Cost of ceremony only space...

We paid $250.00 including set up. Mind you, it was the same venue we had the reception at but they also let you have it just for the ceremony, it was a garden ceremony and it included use of their pa, signing table and chairs for all guests. You could also try botanical gardens or council owned gard...
