Re: Sydney florist - affordable and nice?

Hi all Can anyone recommend a sydney florist for both bouqet and reception tables??? I don't want to spend more than $2000 MAX! I also don't want flimsy bouqets! I am currently considering Best Buds as they've offered me a quote around $1700 for bouqets, church and reception! Has anyone used them b...

Re: Ordering from House of Brides

I recieved a reply email yesterday (after sending them 3-4 emails) saying that my dress would be dispatched today and appolagised for the delay in shipment. So for a dress that was meant to be shipped within 7 business days of the order it was actually sent 16 business days after the order. Its dis...

Re: How much did you pay for your cake?

$350 bottom tier mud cake, top tier fruit cake. Enough to feed 140 ppl coffee size or 70 dessert size. The cake wasn't something I was really overly fussed about but they did an amazing job. I was really happy with it. 067.jpg Kachward, I love your initials monogram on the top of your cake, can I a...

Re: How much did you pay for your cake?

I am a professional cake maker and decorator and to all those girls thinking of paying $1300 it is ridiculous. The $620 quote is more the mark. It can be a bit higher but over say $800-900 for a VERY big and intricate design is pure greed on the cake decorator's part. And believe me to charge that ...

Hi Ladies, Just a quick question and I hope you don't think I am rude for asking but.... How much did you spend on your cake? I am in the process of organising our wedding cake... Re: Needing ideas on how to change wedding reception venue

Hey guys I don't want to name and shame because in all honesty they're a great reception venue, we just decided it wasn't for us due to location and it wasn't as modern as we wanted in the end. When we signed, we signed to a non-refundable deposit. We tried to say we encountered financial issues, b...

Re: Needing ideas on how to change wedding reception venue

Hi all FH and I previously booked what we thought was "the place" to have our reception. However, we have decided to go back to our gut instinct and have a Sydney Harbour view reception by the water. We are really scared about telling the place we originally booked as they're so nice and ...

Re: Divorced - wanting to remarry in church

I am also in a similar situation where my FH and I are both Catholic and wanted to get married in a Catholic church but as FH was married before, the Catholic church doesnt allow divorces and 2nd marriages. We did look into him getting an annulment of his previous marriage but it was very indepth an...

I am just slightly shorter than my DF in flats and I hate being taller than him in heels. I have gotten...

Wishy, I am sorry to hear that you are having troubles with the church and it now makes me worried that we will have the same issues once we get to that stage! Personally, I think its your day and you are the one paying all the money for the church, photography etc and you should get what you want. ...
