Re: How Far Will People Travel

I've been to a few weddings like this; to be honest..it didnt bother me in the least...yes the drive can be a pain but once we got their it was about the couple and we forgot about the drive instantly.. As a guest, you receive an invitation early enough to plan your trip, so unless you're heavily pr...

Re: Are you involving grooms parents in your plans?

My MIL was involved at every planning stage mainly because she was sooooo over-excited as her first-born son was getting married!!!! plus it was easy to include her she is not the meddling type and she was always respectful of my choices if they differed from hers.. On the day.. -obviously both wore...

LOVE these!

I would add -

You are there as a guest and are not paying for your meal or alcohol, so don't complain about them.
If your boyfriend/girlfriend of five minutes is not on the invite, they are not invited!

love these two as well Ash..!

Re: Wedding etiquette

Great Thread Chief! :e_clap: I agree with that list...3 things off that list happened on my day, but the one I'm going to add made me soooo   I'm still upset about it... - Its ok to leave the reception halfway through if you have a very good reason, and if you do decide to leave- say GOO...

technically I supposed to have only 3, but they had taken the bust in a little too much, so I had a fourth one to make sure it was right!

Re: Fiance saw wedding dress

I showed my husband (or fiance back then) a pic of my dress during preparations, thinking it would be waaay out of my budget...but ended up getting it..He saw the dress before our day a few times again as it was featured in a couple of bridal mags, and knew I had bought it...but after our wedding I ...

Re: Fireworks

Our venue offered fireworks for when we were leaving at the end of the night (via boat along the Yarra)...but for me it wasn't that it seemed OTT but cost was a huge factor...for 3 to 4 minutes it cost something like $3,000 8O and I definitely could not justify that!! but if your budget allows for i...

I used to take nurofen (which is ibuprofen) all the time for my migraines and neck/shoulder pain, but stopped because of the side-effects... Where are you located heartstingz? I agree, Definitely NOT a Gen Y thing...if you had proper manners from the start, you wouldn't do this ...

Re: Would you do this

As a guest I would not like this. As a bride it would be a cold day in hell before I would do it myself. I have strong personal views about being a good host and IMHO asking people to pay their own way is not being a good host. If you (and not addressing this at anyone in particular) cannot afford ...

Re: Hills Hoist Hassles

I think rather than hiding it, its prob best to use it as a prop...I love the idea of some lanterns hanging from it!! another idea is you could use it as your guestbook! make up lots of little cards in whatever shape you want and then gets some funky clips, so guests can clip them on to the clothesl...

Don't know of any editing software but I do know that lots of professional videographers offer an editing service for DIY recordings...you just hand over your video footage and tell them exactly what you want and don't want, and theydo all of the editing plus add music and graphics :D call a few pla...
