Re: More than one wedding dress!!

Thanks for all the advice! I think I'll probably stick with the 2 dresses as it would probably be too much of a pain to have to worry about changing so many times. The second dress won't be exactly like the picture I put up, it wouldn't have a train at all and would just be floor length to reduce th...

Re: Where to find this dress!!

Some ebay sellers allow you to send them a picture and they will make the dress for a reasonable price....

I have also heard good things about http://www.dhgate.com & http://www.avabridal.com

Re: Opinions wanted

I'm so sorry you're having so much trouble with your FH's family. Weddings are stressful enough without more pressure from the in-laws. As mean as it sounds it all comes down to what you and your husband want. At the end of the day you can't make everyone happy, if you're willing to get married in t...

Re: Sunflowers wedding theme

One of my friend's was planning a winter wedding and was looking at doing a snow flake theme.

You would be surprised just how many snow flake related things you can find and it's such a pretty theme for winter!!

Have fun planning :D

Re: Pretty buildings in Melbourne for ceremony

The Willows at St Kilda is 10 minutes away and it looks nice but I'm not sure how you would go booking it as a back up?

I've also heard good things about the pavillion at Fitzroy Gardens, maybe ask them if they have a wet weather option as most garden places account for this?

Good luck!!

Re: Planning a wedding... but ive never been to a real wedding!

Congratulations!! I've been too TONS of weddings so if you're having a formal wedding I'd make sure you've got things like ceremony programs, directions to the church/reception, meals for the guests, let them know when things are happening like the speeches, garter/bouquet toss and when you're leavi...

Re: Any thoughts on NOT having favours?

I don't understand why people go all out on favours, weddings are expensive enough without giving each guest a gift that's going to end up gathering dust or in the bin. I think as long as you take care of the guests in terms of food and entertainment that is sufficient. Almonds or a lolly buffet for...

More than one wedding dress!!

I am wanting to know everyone's thoughts on having more than one wedding dress for a wedding. I was thinking: Getting ready, Church & Location Shoot: Long, elegant wedding dress with a LONG cathedral length train Reception: Floor-length wedding dress (so I can dance without having to worry about...

Re: Two page boys & one flower girl

I think that's a fantastic idea! In the wedding programs you could list them as 'ring bearer' & 'page boy'? That way the ring bearer carries the rings and the page boy carries the sign? Sounds like it would be SO cute though having the two boys escorting the girl down the aisle! Or even having t...

Photo locations in Sydney

I'm looking for photo locations in Sydney for a Gothic/Tim Burton style wedding shoot. I don't get around much so I'm not sure of what's out there. I'm looking for somewhere not TOO public (i know somewhere private will be almost impossible as our wedding will be in summer!) Does anyone know of anyw...

Re: My bridesmaid is getting out of control.

I think it's really sad that your friend would do that to you. It is not HER wedding day - it is YOURS! Bridesmaids dresses should not be sexy, they should be classy and fit in with what the bride and groom have as their theme. Maybe sit down with her and ask why she is being this way. At the end of...

I'm not sure about Fiji but Sydney has some BEAUTIFUL locations! Chinese Gardens is one of my favourite, it's just so lovely there and the Royal Botanical Gardens are good as well. Sydney University as some beautiful park grounds and historical buildings and Hyde Park and Observatory Hill are wonder...

Re: What has annoyed you about other peoples weddings?

I've been to many many weddings and although they're all a beautiful celebration of a couple's love, sometimes that is overshadowed by mistakes or mishaps on the day/night. Uncontrolled kids at weddings are the worst, I went to one where the page boy and flowergirl (both under 3) spent the entire fi...

Good Catholic Church in Sydney

Hi All! I am having a bit of trouble finding a nice catholic church in Sydney to have my wedding ceremony.
