Re: HELP BUDGET NRTH BRIS REC'S ???? (SORRY IT'S A LIL LONG!)

HI Thena, I used these girls for my wedding in June 2008 and they were both awesome so I have no hesitation in recommending them: Cake: Shanda at Forever After Cakes (charged me about $300 for a 2 tier cake) She's at Caboolture and her cakes are divine Makeup: Cherisse at Cherisse Makeup Artistry (c...

Re: Want to keep the kids busy at the reception?

I usually find that kids of all ages like to colour in.... I'll even sit down and colour in with the kids now and then. Glowsticks are awesome as everyone of all ages loves wearing them.

Re: OOS at garden ceremony?

Thanks Kylie! I made them myself to match my home made invites. All 50 of them lol. Printed (double sided) and cut the paper, stapled it together and then used double sided tape to stick it into the cardboard folder/cover. Used double sided tape to stick the flocked paper and red paper to the front ...

Umm.... I love taking photos. I love taking photos of weddings. But there is no way in hell I would have taken photos of my own wedding. I didn't touch a camera on my wedding day.

You will need to sand it before you paint it. Then apply a few coats of paint. You won't need to undercoat (although you can if you want). If the stain is dark, you might need a few good coats to cover it. If the stain is really dark and thick - you could use a paint stripper gun. You can hire them ...

Re: When to send Save the Date cards

I ordered my save the date cards through vistaprint. If I were you with overseas guests and interstate guests (as they will need to make flight and accommodation arrangements) I would send them out 8-12 months before.

Re: Doing your own makeup?

I would never have done my own makeup for our wedding. Not only the time / rush factor, but also because I'm not that good. Hunt around for a cheaper MUA. I found one who only uses Napoleon, does an awesome job and only charged me $150 for 4 of us!!! I second what MissBexie said, Napoleons foundatio...

Re: What to do with candles...

I bought the candleabra that we had on our bridal table and also the little candleholders that we had scattered on the cake table and bridal table.... I use them at home on a bookcase as a feature under our canvas wedding pic! Could you maybe save a couple to use for future children for their baptism?
