Re: are gifts necessary? opinions please

I agree with the others. Seems like you're putting enough into it. Of course if your budget was unlimited you could do whatever you want but considering the limitations a nice card and a thank you would be sufficient :)

Re: Is this a tacky idea for Bonbonniere?

It can be a nice idea provided that you manage to somehow make it a bit personal or make it related to some personal concept. Just handing out something which doesn't have any personal saying is not something I would like to give or to receive.

Re: DRESS DOESN'T FIT ANYMORE

Sounds like a very unpleasant situation... maybe it shrank a bit at the dry cleaners? I'm sure a professional dress maker can help you expand it a bit... and worst case if its not very small you can always make an effort and lose some weight till the wedding. I really hope you manage to solve this.

Re: Do you ask for things cheaper then advertised??

its a cultural thing really. in the far and middle east they are expecting it and its completely accepted and normal part of the shopping process. in fact they begin the negotiation with a really high price so it would be finally agreed on something reasonable in the middle :)

Re: how did you choose your first dance song

it wasnt an easy choice :) and we went through heaps of tunes. we feel its important that you choose something you both love and enjoy... :) apart from that there arent any rules so just go with your heart and taste

Re: Price difference?

you might be able to save a little bit but its not an easy job to get the arrangements looking good. i would probably just pay the difference and spare the hassle

Re: Tips on where I can save :)

we booked our entire wedding only 40 days before the event (it was due to some constraint other than budget) :)
by filling holes in the venue's and other service provider's schedule we managed to get really good prices!
its wasnt easy but it was a good trick ;)
