Re: Opinions wanted

I think if you go with option 1 you'll have to put your foot down and not budge on the guest list. I'm not sure how that would go but it sounds like the only way it's acheivable. I would say you'd need to compromise with your DH on going at least 1/4 greek music, it's his wedding too and it sounds l...

Re: Is 7pm too late for us to be getting to the reception?

We had a similar time line to you, ceremony started at four thirty and finished at five. It was seven when we got to the reception. Allow as much time as possible for photos, otherwise you won't get the photos you want

Re: Lolly buffet - will people use it?

We had a Lilly bar and everyone loved it. I don't see why they wouldn't use it :) we had heaps of lollies so we had leftover bags and I just sold them on eBay.

Re: The Ex :I

I'm glad it worked out for you. Just out of curiosity did he throw the "You should just trust me?!" argument in your face? I'm a firm believer that while their should be trust in a relationship, your boyfriend/husband shouldn't be putting you in a position where you need trust that he's do...

Re: NWR - Insurance question

I forgot all about this but I thought I might give you guys the outcome! The ended up keeping the car until after the wedding while they processed the claim which was over a month from memory. We didn't end up having to pay the claim fee until we picked the car up so that worked out well! I called t...

Re: What should bridesmaids pay for?

I would just tell her how it is. Say you're honored to be a BM and you're happy to pay for some things but your budget is ____ and you can't afford more than that. Then ask her what she needs you to pay for that fits into your budget. I thinks its okay to ask for a few things to be paid for as long ...

I spent about 20 dollars on flowers to make mine, I loved it.

Re: The Ex :I

I would be piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiss*d! There is absolutely no reason for him to meet with her alone. If he wants to see her, fine, he can take you with him and introduce you as his wife. You go on a honeymoon so you and your husband can spend time together, not so he can go and spend time with his ex ...

Re: paying for a park

I absolutely was not judging you but I'm sorry if you felt judged. Simply pointing out all of the possibilities. I don't see where anyone said it was illegal but it wouldn't surprise me if it were as all councils have their own rules and laws for these things. The way I see it is that you're paying ...

Re: paying for a park

I don't want to be a buzz kill but I would suggest if you are going to do that, get a friend or two to go to the park early and do any set up and just kind of "claim" the space for you guys. Maybe if the boys are ready early they can head on down and do that? I would be super P-ohed if I h...

Re: paying for a park

I think it's fair TBH. Maybe at that price I would be expecting some of the perks the other ladies mentioned but I don't see why it should be free. If you book a neighbourhood center you have to pay a fee even though it's there for your community to use. I think it's more about them holding the date...

Re: What are you doing with your dress afterwards?

I was thinking I would sell it but now I don't want to hehe. Depending on how long I want to keep it, I may not sell it at all, dresses are only in style for so long and then who's going to want it?

Ours was 260 including delivery for 85 desert serves. It wasn't a very fussy cake though, here's a pic.

Re: Show me your tote bags!

Hehe yeah, I got them as part of the gifts for my BMs, partly to put all the stuff I got them in, partly for them to use to carry stuff on the day if they wanted and partly because they all use them now for every day things and I knew they would! They're not for everyone I guess but it's just a tote...
