Re: Help!! How do I best display my cupcakes?

For my daughter's wedding three years ago, we had cupcakes, displayed on a cupcake stand. We hired the stand for the day from the lady who made them. They were a huge hit, and were absolutely delicious :D We used them as bonbonnieres, and supplied small boxes for people to take them home in. As the ...

This is kind of related, but do you put the wet weather plan on the invitations?

Personally, I wouldn't.
IF it should happen to rain on the day, appoint a couple of friends/relatives (that you will have already briefed) to go down early on the day, and re-direct guests to the correct spot.

Re: What should bridesmaids pay for?

That's a load of crap! Why bother with bridesmaids then? My girls (sisters) paid for their dresses (which I let them choose otherwise I would have paid for them) they also bought their shoes. They way we saw it was that they can use their stuff again or re-sell their dresses. I paid for their hair a...

Re: Does anyone actually use a videographer these days?

also to add to my above post, I looked at packages that were under $2k and you can get some reasonable videographers for that money. I picked our videographer as their package had everything we wanted (after comparing to many others in that price range) and they had some great feedback and recommend...

Re: Does anyone actually use a videographer these days?

I got married last weekend and we hired a videographer (All Your Memories - Brisbane) We only booked them a month before as initially we had a friend of a friend doing the video but that fell through. Re: Wedding Entertainment- YAY or NAY?

Personally, I don't get the whole having to provide entertainment thing  People are happy to chat to relatives and friends they usually haven't seen for some time. If you either provide a bar tab for juice and soft drink only and some nibbles, OR make sure guests know how or where they can buy...

We wanted our wedding to stay under $15k - we had 14 months to plan and save and we have easily saved over that amount. His parents put some money towards it And so did my parents, Mum bought my dress, jewellery etc. She has also paid for transport which we never were going to do anything special (s...

Re: What are you doing with your dress afterwards?

I will sell mine
It is too hard to store forever and being a fishtail/trumpet style it probably won't be of any use to anyone in the future. Plus is a very small!
I couldn't do a 'trash the dress' shoot either.. It's too nice lol.

I am getting married in 2.5 weeks (eek!) and just bought a plain silver cake knife from House ($25 - we don't own a cake knife so will use it) and I'll put a ribbon around it. Did not even THINK of a pen until the weekend when we met with the celebrant - she is going to provide one We aren't serving...
