Re: December 2012

Is anyone doing an Order of Service?? I'm still contemplating whether I should do one or not. I want to do one because it'd be nice to have and our guests will know what's going on.. I don't want to do one because I can't be bothered making it haha I just want the planning to be overrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Re: December 2012

I have to disagree....I don't think boys should be at yours hens. Who cares how many people you have, it's not about the numbers it's about the memories! I don't have that many friends either and I only have about 7 girls coming to my hens... nickncarolyn, how fast is time flying!! The speed is defi...

Re: December 2012

haha yeah I haven't walked far in my dress either, and the lady who is doing my alterations does her work from home, in a small bedroom, so all I could do is step twice towards the mirror, it really didn't help but I'll be practising to walk in the dress. Well we got out first RSVP yesterday whom sa...

Re: December 2012

Not really....I mean if I went for a 3 hoop it would do the job but I don't want the dress to be that full.. haha Lawwa I was thinking I could do just little kicks and maybe nobody would notice :/ ouch! no you don't want to have to go out to do your makeup, they have to come to you! you get photo's ...

Re: December 2012

Yeah I am using a 1-hoop.

I have an idea, tell me what your thoughts are! Maybe I can somehow pin the dress up a bit? Maybe I'll just pin it into the bottom bit of the hoop.....do you think that would work?

Re: December 2012

The back of the dress isn't a problem, it's the front. Because when I'm walking, the front is dragging backwards towards underneath my feet.. So hopefully it isn't too much of a pain walking down the aisle, but it's not going to be as easy as it would be if it could be hemmed up, or as easy when I'm...

Re: December 2012

oh no Lawwa, you better get onto them!! I've been wanting to do my DIY bouquets but just to buy the flowers is so expensive and now I'm contemplating whether to just buy them or make them...for about $100 more, I can have them made..I think. haha :/ Anyhow I just had my first dress fitting!! Good ne...

Re: Do you think it's rude?

The question isn't do you think it's rude to not turn up without a gift.....I personally believe that is rude and I agree with all of you. However, I believe, as a event host (bride & groom in this context) it is rude to EXPECT a guest to bring a gift or money. Appreciating something is differen...

Re: Do i have to have a Bridal Table?

We are having a round table just like the rest of our guests! My partner and I will sit at the top of the table where we can see everyone but we're definitely not having the head table....we have a small bridal party too (2 ladies & 2 men) so our bridal parties partners will also be at our table...

Re: Do you think it's rude?

we attended one wedding where they had a honeymoon register, and nothing less than $200 would be accepted, that was way out of our budget at the time (and we were travelling to get to the wedding) so for that wedding I took a card and the bride wasnt impressed that we didnt contribute to her honeym...

Re: Do you think it's rude?

Oh I completely agree that it is rude not to turn up without a gift, back in the day, gifts use to be such things that would help the couple start a new life together (kettles, toasters, pots, etc...) and times slightly have changed. But it's a different story when you call your guests "freeloa...

Do you think it's rude?

Do you think it's rude to expect your guests to bring a gift or money to the wedding? Someone I know just recently got married and titled their guests as "freeloaders" and "selfish" because they didn't provide a gift and/or money. Thoughts? In my opinion, I dont believe you shoul...

Re: December 2012

Well I went to a wedding recently, and we had to drive from the ceremony to reception (about 25 minute drive) and then we checked into the resort where the wedding was, and waited in our room for about 45 minutes until the pre-drinks had started..... Our guests will be in the same position, as our r...

Re: December 2012

Isn't it crazy that a couple of months ago you come up with an idea to do something and you think "it's too early to do it now, I'll just do it closer to the date".......but as you get closer and closer, you can't find the spare time! misteri82, we're having our ceremony at 3:30pm and our ...
