Re: Ceremony guests only

You'll probably get mixed responses but I think its ok, as long as the guests are aware of what exactly they're invited to.

No to save the dates. Only send invites.

I'd try to serve some food. I've seen cookies and slab cakes go down well.

I woudln't do a fake cake cutting.

Re: wedding makeup trial-white

Makeup for looks in person and makeup for photos are very different. So you need to decide what you want to prioritise.

Do you have photos from your trial? Simply describe what you didn't like about it, and show pictures which show a look more in line with what you're after.

Write your own vows. You can fit them ino the ceremony whenever it best suits.

Re: After a bit of advice re: photographer

I would suggest that your best bet on getting advice would be to see a lawyer.

But I'd also go ahead and start hassling.

Would really need to see them together with the dress to make a call, but it could work.

Re: Jewellery

I wore a very fine, old gold necklace which my mum wore to her wedding. My earrings and bracelet were much more ostentatcious (Michal Negrin). I don't know whether I would have worn a necklace otherwise. The stuff that matched my other jewellery would have been very over the top (which was the point...

If you make the sauce from scratch it will only have in it what you put in it.

That does sound very restrictive though.

Re: Vendor breaching a contract

Possibly. you have to realise that all the Court can give you is money so you need to be able to quantify your loss. So if you're talking about your feelings or emotions, you're looking at expert reports and its going to cost you a bomb.

OO: I haven't sold it and don't really plan to but I'm also not particularly mooney over it. In short - I'm undecided.

That said, I haven't even washed it yet and its been 6 years!

What do your BM's prefer? What looks better on them? That to me is going to be the deciding factor.

Re: Reception Dress?

Nope. My wedding dress cost too much for me not to wear it as long as possible.

Plus the thought of having to get another dress to the reception, and getting the wedding dress back - blerch. Not for me.

I use the liquid as well. I find it much better than tablets or powder.

Re: How many professional photos have you had enlarged?

We have 5 enlargements around the place, plus about 3 small prints (8x10). I found it hard to find 5 places to hang big pictures without my loungeroom tunring into a shrine to my wedding. I don't ahve good wall hanging space in my house. My frames are all wooden. I personally hate gold. i'd go with ...

It is my experience that things which start as a 'little bit different' end up being the next fad that everyone does.

Re: private ceremony

I've seen it done, but I'm not really a fan personally. The ceremony to me is the important bit. I'd much rather see the ceremony only and no reception than not see the service. I did sort of. We married at my parent's house urgently because my mother was dying and my grandmother had had a flatline ...

You really should see a mortgage broker to have these questions answered properly taking into account your personal circumstances, but: > The bank needs to know that you can pay the mortgage whether there are tenants in it or not. Re: Cake vs Homemade stuff

BUT, most reception venues will only allow cakes made by professional bakeries to be served. Food and safety, and whatnot. My aunt made my cake. She is not a professional. My venue never asked me where it came from, so I'm not sure that's true. Your wedding cake is the centrepiece of your reception...
