Re: Small photo frame for bouquet

Don't know if this would suit you but I used a locket attached to a ribbon which I tied around my bouquet.

Definitely go with the one you like best. If you're after a more informal type of STD, these are perfect. Personally, I think the first is great.

Re: My Timeline - any crit?

Wow-you are so organised Wand33!! Looks pretty good. My only concern would be that you may need more time for congratulations and photos. Ours took much longer than we thought! Your photographer should be able to help you too. They gave us a guideline on what to expect for what we were after (unfort...

Re: Cost of church wedding

Hi Gherkin, We got married in a church and it cost us $990. Admittedly it was a rather large old church in Sydney but it was quite similar to what you're describing. It covered the cost of hiring the church (it was stipulated that this was used for restoration purposes due to its age and use) and th...

Re: Photography Time?

I do agree with what Agape said, however, just as an extra point to consider-we were so glad we ended up going for 12 hours with our photographers, it meant they were able to capture every part of our day and we really appreciated that when we got the photos back and were able to see parts of the da...

Re: Are flameless candles tacky?

No I think you can get some very nice ones, and in the right kind of holder you cant even tell the candles are fake. A lot of them now also come with flicker. I have just gotten back from New York and I went to a fairly upscale restaurant there, where they had the flameless candles on the tables in...

Re: Buffet or Plated

We had a plated (that was the only option from our reception venue), but before booking them we had thought buffet was the way to go. As it turned out the plated option was perfect and the venue catered for any different dietary requirements. But at the end of the day, it needs to be something that ...

Re: Seating Plan OR pick your own seat

Another tip I have gotten on this through working in events, is if you use tent place cards, write the name of both side of the card, so that way if you do have people on tables who don't know each other, they can have a sneaky look to learn the names! Really like this idea miss_summer!!! Wish I'd ...

Re: Wedding dressmaker sydney HELP

Hi Alex, not sure if this helps but we had a massive drama with dying one of our bridesmaid dresses about 5 weeks before our wedding (long story, still trying to sort out what we should do with the dress that was ruined by this 'reputable' company), which meant that we had to get the whole thing rem...

Re: What are you walking down the aisle to?

Absolutely love this thread! It's so interesting reading everyone's music choices. Sort of gives you an insight into people's personalities and wedding themes-beautiful. I used the Elvis Costello song 'She' played by our string trio to walk down the aisle too, which I think is beautiful. It always m...
