Re: Guest paying for their own meals ... thoughts?

It is your wedding and you do it your way. $65 is not much for a meal. I personally spend more than that as a guest. Is there a nice poem/explination that you can include with your invite saying that you do not want to offend people but this is the only way that you and FH can celebrate your wedding...

Re: Wedding Gifts

FH and I allways give the bride and groom what it costs the bride and groom pp. I do not think anyone will give us anywhere near that., which will be disapointing just because FH and I have sacrificed a lot to give large gifts at weddings. It would make me feel like I was not as important to them as...

Re: Cocktail Reception

We are having a cocktail wedding but we are not actually serving cocktail drinks. We will be serving 3 choices of beer, sparking wine, 1 choice of white wine and 2 choices of red wine

No one will expect cocktails at your wedding.

Re: There's always one......

WOW im so sorry to hear that. Im sure it would be very hard seeing your dad's new partner however that is no excuse.

I have never heard of a parent acting like that.

Im sure your mum will regret her actions but that wont change the way she made you feel on such a special day

Re: What part of Weddings do you dislike doing?

still a couple of months to my wedding. The only task that has/is causing stress is setting timeline. I think there is a fine balance of having enough time to take photos and keeping the guests waiting for to long

Re: Shoe addicts unite!

I thought we could share our shoe pictures! Not just for the wedding- just shoes in general! I'm a shoe addict, and while I am not buying these for my wedding, just for funsies, I thought some of you might like these for your wedding. Maybe. I just think they're adorable:p http://25.media.tumblr.co...

Re: Would you invite her?

I would be honest and say say that you have struck her off the invite list because it felt like she was no longer interested in being a close friend to you. I would explain that you couldnt invite everyone you want to due to finances and you can only invite people that you are close with you could a...

Re: How much input does your FH have?

I have organised entire wedding. FH has not even seen the venue lol. FH is organising suits and has helped with the play list but that it is. TBH this has worked really well. I can make a decision without having to ask FH if that suits him. I am pretty anal and plan down to the smallest details wher...

can i change neckline?

I really wanted a sweetheart neckline on my dress. I have attached a photo of my dress.....................it has a straight neckline. I got the dress on super sale and every time i look at the dress the neckline annoys me lol. I have D cups and FH wants me to have a dress that shows a little boob b...

Re: How Long to Plan A Wedding?

I started planning my wedding about 9 months before our wedding date TBH planning a wedding is not that time consuming (or maybe i am just missing a whole a lot of typical wedding touches) The venue is the first thing that you must find as it will impact on dress design and etc. I got really stresse...

Re: Help with the wording of gift and card signs

I think that there is an understanding for most people that if you are attending a wedding reception you should at the very least give a card. I love the wording cards/gifts - i will be using this it is more polite.

Re: Throwing the Bouquet?

im throwing mine but i am making mine and etc. If i was spending $200 on a bouquet i wouldnt throw it. For that price your florist should really be giving you a throw away one. I went to a wedding where the bride threw a rly nice plastic bouquet.
