Re: June Weight Loss Thread

Well done anjelik, sounds like you are really in the zone at the moment!! I'm not doing so good as I've been away all week with work so diet & gym attendance have been pretty poor. Have made a commitment to myself to walk to the shops today and to go to the gym today & tomorrow to make up fo...

Re: Engagement Party - turn surprise wedding..

I personally would never do it as I'm too much of a control freak who wouldn't be able to deal with surprising everyone but would LOVE to attend one, I think it would be super exciting and think it's a fab idea.

Re: Off to see a new doctor...

I haven't been through what you are experiencing but I read your post and didn't want to not comment. I know it may seem like a really long stint in hospital but you've gotta tell yourself, what's 3 weeks in regard to a lifetime? Not much.... Before you know it, you'll be out of there and in better ...

Re: June Weight Loss Thread

Holy Moly MP - you are ON FIRE!!
You must be extremely proud of yourself!

That's it, I'm in for June. Didn't exactly achieve what I wanted to in terms of weight loss but I think I am eventually beginning to accept that I'll never be a skinny mini. I've got to learn to love my body more.

Re: Bridesmaids Dress Help

I prefer the Henry Roth gown.

Agree with earlier comments that the neckline of the Pippa is quite similar to your gown.

The Henry Roth is understated elegance

Re: What do you think...Gifts for my Bridesmaids

I love the heart tag charm bracelet and would have bought one for my bridesmaid however I paid for a tonne of stuff for her so couldn't justify spending any more money on the day. Tiffanys also do a fab range of earrings which may work out to be a little less expensive that the bracelet. Or, how abo...

Re: May Weight Loss Thread

Thanks girls! Love your spin on my overindulgence.
Don't feel so bad now!

Just back from a workout, ran 5kms on the treadmill and spent 20 mins on the bike.
Then I came home & had a really relaxing bath with lots of bubbles, candles & chill-out music.
Aaaaah, bliss 8)

My hubby is overseas at the moment so I could get it done while he is away, and just rock up to the airport when he comes back with my new look!!

Re: Keep or Sell?

I'll probably keep mine for a while, then get something made from it.

My mom made my Communion dress from her wedding dress which was a really nice idea. I've also seen ring cushions, christening gowns and even lingere made from a bride's dress!

Re: What was your 'next project'?

Bumping this one up to see if anyone has any interesting post wedding projects in the pipeline.

For me, I will continue with my studies, renovate the bathroom.....and having a bambino some time soon would be the icing on the cake!

Re: The Post Wedding Haircut

I've been thinking about changing my hairstyle for a while now. I've had long-ish hair (maybe 3 inches past my shoulders) for such a long time & thought that after the wedding, I'd like to do something really different. I'm thinking shoulder length with bangs. I know DH won't be too happy about ...

Re: Your Favourite TV Show(s)

I'm looking for something new to watch. Just wondering which tv shows everyone is watching these days?
We've recently watched Breaking Bad, Dexter and Boston Legal.

Any recommendations?

I actually sold my lolly buffet jars on Gumtree - have you placed an ad there too?

Re: May Weight Loss Thread

Well done Storm & Anjelik for getting each other to the gym. I find its really great to work out with someone for that exact reason, there is more accountability and consequences if you're having a lazy night. I've been pretty well disciplined with my workout regime - FH is overseas at the momen...

Got 4 kilos to lose since the wedding.

Not planning on doing anything radical, exercise and eating clean.

Looking forward to achieving some goals.

Re: Who contributed to your wedding fund?

We paid for absolutely everything ourselves.

However, my mum did the flowers which saved us a small fortune. Plus, we got a gift of a new fridge/freezer from my folks and 2k cash from DH's folks.
