Re: hair prices

I have just received an email with an updated price list for my hair and make up. For my Hair and make up on the day and a trial is $380... I almost fell off my chair especially since I read this thread earlier. BM's are $165 each for hair and make up (no upstyle just out) without a trial. I haven't...

Re: Bringing everything in your wedding together + whats FUN?

I had read that a polaroid only stays charged for about 15 Photos as well. I'd love a Polaroid Camera of my own to keep so i'm thinking I will wait until closer to the date and in the mean time ask the photographer if I can add an hour+ to our time and open the "Photo Booth" after the firs...

Re: Bringing everything in your wedding together + whats FUN?

Regarding bringing everything together... I'm actually starting to wonder if people are going to notice if things don't go together. We don't really have a theme either, we have just picked stuff that we like and that we think will look good. I have a feeling that I'll be the only one worrying that...

Re: Bringing everything in your wedding together + whats FUN?

The Polaroid idea is great! I read about it on another post and did some searching, the cost is very reasonable for a digital Polaroid camera these days so we have that as an option too. Trivia was another thing I read which I'm all for so was FH :D i love trivia! We just weren't sure how it was run...

Re: Wedding Cars-How much are you paying?

We found wedding cars to be VERY expensive when looking. In the end because it was me who wanted the nice car, especially for photos we are hiring One '68 Chevy (FH negotiated and got 3 hours for $350 - I'm staying in the same place as the ceremony and reception) and just hiring a 'Full Size' Car fr...

Re: What are you walking down the aisle to?

I found this topic last night and then spent the next hour googling songs and playing them on YouTube!!! Unfortunately, I'm still stumped :( The only one I kinda liked was Shania Twain from this moment... but I dunno, is it a bit soppy? FH isnt exactly Mr Romantic IYKWIM! Not to mention the songs I...

Re: Ideas for Table Names instead of Table Numbers

I have had a few ideas for names for our tables 1. Years of our life with photos of us in that year eg. 1988 would be baby photos 1996 would be a primary school photo 2009 would have a pic of us doing something from that year. 2. My wedding is having a butterfly theme so possibly different butterfl...

Re: Ideas for Table Names instead of Table Numbers

FH and I are both ver passionate NRL followers, I support the Roosters and him Manly. We are naming the bridal table after a NRL legend who has played for both clubs, then my side of the tables will be named after Roosters players and his Manly. Even though we are having a formal wedding thought th...

Re: March 2013

Also a question for all of you lovely Marchys...when do you plan on having hair & makeup trials done? I'm really fussy when it comes to makeup so I want to do mine early enough to find somewhere else if I'm not happy with the first place (there is a day spa at our venue so that will be the plac...

Re: How much did you put on the bar?

We are putting on $2000 but making sure we have spare on the night just in case. We were going to pay $33 per person for a drinks package but the venue has told us for anyone under 18 they will include their soft drinks and juice for free and then doing the numbers on how many people will be drinkin...

I personally think, It probably isn't vital when you consider the tables and other decoration... but it is quite plain.

What decor for a relatively low ceiling.

Hi! We are having our wedding next march and I'm currently going through the process of organizing the decorations for our reception venue. I pretty much have everything covered except for the ceiling! The ceiling is relatively low and I'm stuck as to how to decorate it... Just wanting some ideas or...
