Re: Small and Intimate

We currently live in the NT, and did consider about having a wedding up here (mainly to invite the extended with the hope that maybe they couldnt come!) but my great-grandmother is 94 years old and I would like her to be there more than anyone. It would be a bit hard for her to travel. Also, I dont ...

Re: Resturant for Reception

We are also looking at doing this but haven't got as far as that yet... A friend of mine has her reception at a restaurant and it was still open as normal. The were in another area away from most people, they were still able to do speeches and stuff and she said she didn't even notice that other peo...

Re: Small and Intimate

Thanks Slinky, I was just looking through your S&T before - everything is beautiful!! I think small and intimate is lovely too, and I think it goes with the whole meaning of the day. Cost is also a big issue for us as we are saving to buy a house. Everything is just so expensive and I really wan...

Small and Intimate

Hi ladies, I'm still fairly new to this forum, well, still new to the whole wedding planning thing actually and I have to make some decisions (which I'm terrible at doing!!) and I was hoping you could shed your wisdom on me... :) FH and I are looking at getting married April 2014 in Victoria. Firstl...

Re: Dogs

Labs are known to have hip displaysia issues, as well as other large breed dogs. Research really does need to be done to choose a pet that suits your family situation. I actually adopted my lab from a family who had a 2yo child, and the kid loved him, but the lab was just to boistrous to be left alo...

Re: Dogs

FH and I have 3 dogs: a rescue lab x, a rescue ridgeback staffy x and a pure bread american staffy. They are all different but all great dogs. The lab is an old boy and he is wonderful, really tolerant of the other dogs and kids etc. and is a gentle giant. He loves to play fetch, going for walks and...

Re: How do you run your budget / finances?

Personally, I don't believe there should be privacy when it comes to spending money. Transparency works for us - in saying that, neither FH nor I feel the need to check up on each others spending habits. If we are shopping & I see nice shoes, I just buy them - same goes for FH, if he wants new ...

Re: How do you run your budget / finances?

FH and I have our own seperate accounts where we each get paid. We have a joint account where we transfer a certain amount of money into each payday. All bills and expenses come out of this. We keep some spare cash in our own accounts for other things we wish to purchase or little presents for each ...

Re: Somebody stop me!

Oh, I also wanted to say that you shouldn't wash your hair every day. I only wash mine every 2 - 3 - 4 days depending on what its like, regardless of the length. Washing it every day strips the natural oils from your scalp and it will then try to create more, making it more oily than if you didn't w...

Re: Somebody stop me!

I am having the same trouble so definitely know your pain!!! I have had short hair for the past 8 years or so and it is currently at the longest it has ever been! And by short, I mean short. I have been growing it for about 18 months and its only just reached past my shoulders. That's with getting r...

How do you do shellac at home?? That would be awesome!! Oh that doesn't help me then...we leave for Thailand 2 weeks before our wedding! Might have to just get a manicure over there Oh that's a shame :( You could see if a spa over there has shellac?? It's worth it!! I fell in love with the product a...
