Re: Too young to get married?!?

Although I agree that it's not quite like it was in the old days, I do believe that some people are ready to get married at a younger age than most people would. My brother and sister both got married within a month of each other - my sister was 18 at the time and my brother was 21. Plenty of people...

Footed glass bowls - Aussie suppliers

Hi everyone, I was hoping to get some footed glass icecream bowls as my wedding favours but all the ones I've seen on Aussie websites are either too expensive, cheap looking or made of plastic. I'm living in the UK at the moment and I can get some really nice little bowls for the equivalent of about...

Re: Ceremony rehearsal - worth having??

We'll be having one, as my FH hasn't been to a lot of weddings and isn't quite sure how it's all supposed to work. Plus the piece of music I have to walk down the aisle to is relatively short and I want to make sure that it's enough time to get to the end without having to sprint :D

Re: where to find 1950 full skirt wedding dress

How about Dolly Couture? They're an American company that only makes vintage inspired dresses and their range is all under $1000. This is a full skirt style with lace sleeves: http://dollycouture.com/collection/pink-label/the-walnut-creek.html Or if your friend prefers her arms completely covered th...

Re: Buying a dress off ebay ..from china

A lot of bridal stores have a discount section that have their ex-display/sample gowns that might just need minor repairs or drycleaning. It's hit and miss as to what you'll get but at least you can try them on and see how they fit and you might just grab a bargain. I tried on a lovely sample dress ...

Re: What's tacky?

I'm not sure if this one's been mentioned before - but I HATE cake toppers where the bride figurine is dragging the reluctant groom along! Maybe I'm being a bit oversensitive but to me it's both tacky and sexist.

Re: Wanted: Votive Holders

Hi misspony, I've bought some clear glass holders for my wedding in Target, I think they were originally about $7 for a pack of 6 but I got them while they were on sale. I can't find them in the online catalogue but you should be able to get them in store. If you can't get these, perhaps you could t...

Re: What are you walking down the aisle to?

We are all walking down to Alicia Keys, "If I ain't got you". Its my FH fav song so it was an easy choice! I kinda wanted "No-One", but every time I listen to it, I bawl my eyes out, so not a good option!! I'm having an acoustic guitar version of the same song http://www.youtube...
