We got engaged end of June and are having the engagement party 3rd November. The wedding is next October. Really it's up to you when you have it, and I'm guessing you'll want to have it a time when you aren't too stressed and when most of your guests can make it. Personally I think November is fine,...

princess jasmine that is such an awesome proposal story! Mine is pretty boring really- we have been together since high school and had been talking about getting married, and then one day we went ring shopping and found the perfect one! Once we got home he did get down on one knee and was very sweet...

I think it depends- my FH was pretty excited about picking the reception venue, indifferent about celebrant, I am currently trying to get him to take an interest in photos, and stuff like favours/flowers he doesn't care about. Sigh, I guess when they care they will tell you, otherwise you can do wha...

If you are considering Rydges they do have a 'wedding kit' flyer you can download from their website: http://www.rydges.com/hotel/5/RQCAPR/Rydges-Capricorn-Resort-Yeppoon.htm It gives a fair idea of prices, etc. I'm October 08 too, trying to decide on a celebrant and photographer at the moment. The ...

Haven't booked the reception venue yet, but FH and I both agree that we want it on Great Keppel (we live in Yeppoon). Sooooo getti...

You'd probably be best of talking to the jeweller/engraver to see how much they can fit on a ring. 'Today and all my tomorrows' is beautiful but it might be too long.

If I am craving chocolate I get some of the 70% stuff (usually Lindt). You only need to eat a little bit, and then you're satisfied. Also it's supposed to be good for you!

Is he contributing financially? Because I agree that three last names are too many, if you can avoid it I would not include the partner, since she isn't close to you. I would probably go with option 'a', but you need to think about how upset your dad would get if he's not on it. Why do family have t...

People were talking about the sailing club a while back, what sort of prices did they have? How much do they charge for hire? Still trying to decide on a final budget, but at least have locations narrowed down (basically Keppel vs. a beach in Yeppoon and reception at sailing club, etc). Thanks!

Currently I'm considering Keppel, or just having a beach wedding in Yeppoon with reception at the sailing club or similar. Haven't decided on a budget yet which doesn't make it any easier! All advice greatly app...
