Re: Christmas 09 Menu

Wow haven't even started thinking about this yet. We haven't even worked out who's hosting! There are a couple of mags that usually have some great ideas (Super Food Ideas?) that I use.

Re: How much involement did your BM'S have??

I only had a MOH and she was great. We didn't live in the same city, but she was very quick with responding to emails, calls, texts, etc. We went dress shopping together, she organised her dress and shoes, and got all the stuff for the hens, as well as being great the day of and couple of days befor...

Re: Chiro VS Physio

I think what's meant by 'airy fairy' is that some (SOME, not ALL) chiros think that most disease is caused by 'sublaxations'- eg. you can cure asthma by 'unblocking' certain pathways in your spine. There have also been a few lawsuits in the UK with people who have become paralyzed due to poor chirop...

Up

DH and I saw this last night. It was a beautiful movie! I would have cried for about 3/4 of it (but I am a massive sook)- DH cried in some bits too. So take tissues. (Heck I even cried in the pre-movie short film) I think it would be good for kids as well, lots of jokes in there for them. I think th...

For our school formal, my now-DH had a black cane with a gold-coloured knob, it looked really good.

Home Loans- Fixed?

Hi everyone,

with talk of interest rates going up again soon we're considering fixing our loan. Is this a good or bad idea? Has anyone done this? We figure that this is as cheap as interest rates are going to get, so we might as well fix now...

Thanks!

We had chairs for about 20 out of 48 people- but most of these stayed empty as almost everyone was standing!

Re: wedding rehearsal?

We had a run-through the day before, not with our celebrant however. It helped us work out how my Dad and I would enter, where we would stand, etc. It really helped. Also as our parents were each saying something during the ceremony, it helped them to practice the order they were speaking in. So gla...

Re: A list of the little things.

Break it down into 'categories'. You won't need everything on the list, and you may have additional things too. Bride: - underwear, stockings, etc - hair accessories - garter - fragrance - stuff for touching up make-up, etc - bag Groom: - cufflinks - hair products, cologne, etc Ceremony: - pen for c...

Re: Plated meal for guests

Our venue did up a menu of 6 choices for entree and 6 for mains, and guests chose on the night. It will depend what your venue are happy to do, and how many guests you have (I had 48, so for the chef it was just like a busy normal night with fewer dishes).

Re: Car Insurance? Who are you with?

I'm with RACQ, but I have everything with them - house, contents, pets, and roadside assistance so it works out pretty cheap. I recently had a claim and they were great to deal with, very easy.

Re: When to last wash your hair?

I washed mine the night before- I would go with what your hairdresser said, everyone has different hair, after 15 months and a trial I would imagine she would know what she has to do with it.
