Re: Finance - what do you do?

My FH and I are pretty easy going. I just pay all the bills and groceries and he's been paying the mortgage, and he always covers us when we go out. We help each other out when need be ( That's usually him helping me! ) We also have a joint saver account and we both contribute as much as we ca...

Re: Sending out fake invites, bad idea?

Hi!! I can see you had great intentions, but i personally think it's a slightly bad idea. People could : * Cancel a holiday * Buy a new outfit /suit * Cancel other important plans etc. and be annoyed to find out they did it all for nothing. I personally wouldn't do it, plus it would be more of a sup...

Re: Email to Bridesmaids

Hi Noamib, If they are expecting to pay for the dresses, accomodation etc. i'm sure you could pretty much write it as you have. As for the shoes, if they are paying for them you might just have them wear shoes they already have as you have said. If it means alot to you to have them matching, then ma...

Re: Real Estate and Making an Offer-NWR

Hi mills2B, The best advice i have is to make sure you dont show the agent that you are eager. Feel free to point out the negatives of a home as you walk through it but do not show emotional attachment as the agents will use this to get more money out of you. I think offering $10K less than "Of...

Re: what would you do? - BM dress question

OMG... i don't know how to tell you this....... I recognise those shoes! I was in a wedding in Novemebr and they are the same shoes that us bridesmaids had to wear!! They are the most painful shoes I have ever encountered. I always thought I could “grin and bear it” for the beauty of any shoes, but ...

Re: 2010 IKEA Home Planner

Hi Girls, Can i strongly suggest that you AVOID buying furniture from IKEA. Its ok if you only need the furniture for show, but if your actually going to use it it is just not strong enough. We brought a bed, tall boy, 2 wardrobes and 2 side tables from IKEA. Bed - Lasted 2 months before crumbling u...

Re: True Cost of reception

Oh ok, your right! i hadn't thought of that!

Ok, $75 a head includes canapes, 3 course meal plus antipasto, beer wine softdrink, tea and coffee, chair covers and sashes, centrepieces.

There seems to be a huge difference in prices, makes it hard to tell if your getting what you paid for...

True Cost of reception

Hi Girls, I'm a little annoyed tonight. I put a deposit on my reception recently. When i asked them how much it would be per head, they replied with "well what have you been quoted by others?" I replied $ 85 p/h and they said "ok we'll do it for $80" They made me feel as if they ...
