Re: Origami Flowers

How are they coming along?

Do you have any photos of finished ones? (you mentioned spraying some glitter on the white ones)

Re: Canberra

I was shopping in woden today. The art store next to revolution is closing down. The fancy papers (annie p?) are down to 70%. Just thought I'd put it out there for people who are DIYing their own invites.

Re: How Many Hours?

Once I am able to book my photographer, there will be full coverage of the wedding day including bride and groom getting ready (where possible), ceremony, family photos, up to 3 locations and part reception with mock cake cutting. The photographer can stay for longer etc but by then, most people wou...

Re: Canberra

sarahjayne, if you can PM me those prices that would be great! :D

What have you chosen dinner wise? I'm thinking of platters for entree and have a main. I'm thinking since we're gonna be having wedding cake, we won't have dessert (there are a few people who don't like dessert anyway as well).

Re: Canberra

I think it may just come down to people making their own way there and back. Thanks morethantacos. I look forward to hear how it goes with your sister's wedding :) I was thinking about having the ceremony there at the same location to make it easier for everyone but I really would like the option of...

Re: Canberra

I thought of a bus but then then questions like these popped up in my head: * what would be a good and safe location to leave the cars for 5-6 hours? * Where should the location be? * Should I write it on a card to go with the invite? It just got rather confusing 8O. My next thought was I could just...

Re: Canberra

Reception - Poacher's Pantry. Both OH and I loved the food there :D I think the problem is for everyone to get there and back. OH has said he's not too interested in the planning of the whole thing and I told him that it's fine and I will just give him his half of the bill ROFL. So now he reckons al...

Re: Canberra

I've been given a time period to work towards. April or May 2010 :D It's definitely a start.

I've emailed the reception venue to see what dates they have available. I'm going to call tomorrow to enquire about a possible ceremony venue.

It's definitely a start.

Re: Canberra

Can I ask how long (time frame) it took everyone to plan everything for their wedding? I want a 2010 wedding (Autumn/Winter) but have not managed to convince the fiance a date yet (he reckons it's not necessary to worry about it just yet)

Re: Small Weddings

I've got the same problem you have (divorced parents and not sure how they would get on). I recently had my uni graduation and I got professional photos taken on the day. When the photographer asked who I wanted to take a photo with, I said my mum and dad and both looked rather shocked.......Not sur...

Re: Wedding Invitations - what's in it?

Thanks a lot.

morethantacos, I like your idea of RSVPing via email. Especially since I have a few overseas guests (relatives) and it would be a lot cheaper for both sides.

Wedding Invitations - what's in it?

Hi all, I tried doing searches but I couldn't figure out the correct wording to find what I want...... I have seen heaps of pics of gorgeous invites. Some are just the invitation and some have items included with the invitation (ie. 'Accommodation', 'Directions' ) If you don't mind sharing what you ...

Re: Canberra

Hi Everyone! I was proposed to on 24 December. No idea on a date yet but thinking early 2010. Just had a look through this thread and found lots of great recommendations. The only thing that's definitely been done is the wedding ring. OH bought it along with the engagement ring cos it's a 'set'. I d...
