Definitely try somewhere like Forever New or Portmans, Myer might also be worth a look

Re: Toasting glasses

We have countless sets of toasting flutes (including the swarovski flutes) but we're just going to use the reception venue's. I don't want myself or my parents/bridal party stressing over having to remember to take all our stuff home and we intend to use them when we're at home anyway. I think it co...

Re: Flowers for my hair - help!

I recommend checking out etsy because they may already have a set similar to that. I think that's very pretty by the way, lovely choice

Re: Dress code: for a special occasion

I would take it as semi -formal: either a nice party dress or smart pants (maybe not jeans) and a top....If it's a restaurant reception you could wear something you might wear if you went out for a special dinner with a loved one?

Re: I'm finally engaged!!!!! With e-ring/tiny ceremony Q's...

I think a tiny wedding would be lovely! And there are so many options- eloping to a destination or something small in the registry office followed by a nice dinner/lunch at either your favourite restaurant or a nice place you might not ever try on an ordinary day... If you do get married at a hotel/...

Re: Question on djs, Mc's, photographers and videographers.

It depends on how long they're staying for and what the company expects... For instance the MC and band (if applicable) will require a meal as they are staying through the whole reception but if your videographer and photographer don't stay, they won't need a meal. If they do stay, you will probably...

Re: Bridesmaid Dilemma!

1. Don't ask BM#6. Ask her to do a reading or some other role which will help her feel included. But ultimately you don't need to stress. 2. Don't ask your other overseas friends to be BM's if they come. They'll be paying enough to come, and while you've said you'll pay up to $100 on dresses: a) th...

Re: Is it tacky to have one wedding car for everyone?

I know someone who had their boys walk to the ceremony venue in their suits. They walked with the photographer and got some great shots!

Re: Is it tacky to have one wedding car for everyone?

We wanted to just use the one car (limo) to save money but unfortunately we don't have the time for them to go back and forth. I say go for it!! More money to put towards something else :)

Re: What to give?

I'd be so tempted to give them nothing but as the others have said, it's better to be the bigger person..... Have you got any photo frames or something small you feel like regifting? lol

Re: Ceremony rehearsal - worth having??

Our priest said we didn't need one - that we've seen it in the movies and he will provide cues as to where/when to stand etc....

I wouldn't mind having one though so that we all know what to do

Re: Help: Wedding Dress Fleur Delacour 's uniform style

What about light in the box?? They have a wide range of wedding dresses OR you could try the cosplay section of the site and see if there's something close???

The best part about the site is that you can provide your measurements and have it made to fit

Hopefully this helps

Re: wishing well etiquette

We didn't have a poem but we did enclose a card in the invitation that we are having a wishing well if they would like to contribute. We didn't specify anything for our engagement party but a lot of people decided to give money anyway and a LOT of guests told us they would have preferred for us to e...

Re: How do you ask some one to be a bridesmaid?

I met up with each person separately (either to a bar or coffee) and just asked straight out. I didn't buy any gifts when I asked but I intend to give them a gift set each (that I will put together myself) as a thank you for everything on the wedding day and I am paying for dress, shoes, hair and ma...

Re: Kids or No Kids?

We opted for no kids under 12. Some friends thought it was a fantastic decision so that they could have a night out together as a couple but some family members have decided not to attend. You can't please everybody, we just did it to cut down on numbers. It's your day so you both have to be happy w...
