Wedding thank-you letter

Just wanted some feedback on our thankyou letter. We got cards as part of our photo package, but we wanted to add a note as well. This is what I have so far, but I don't think it flows right. Dear ....... Thankyou so much for attending our wedding - we were honoured that you were able to join us for...

Re: Good GP in Brisbane

Thanks everyone!

Kcupcake, it doesn't sound crazy - I'm looking into acupuncture - I've had one needle before at physio and it did seem to help so I do believe it might work. Just have to find the time to call private health and find out if it's included in our extras cover.

Re: Good GP in Brisbane

I've had xrays & MRI's that came back clear. I went to a specialist once and he didn't know what was wrong with me either but wanted to do surgery anyway. Needless to say that didn't happen - I'm not letting anyone cut me open unless they can at least tell me whats wrong and that surgery is goin...

Good GP in Brisbane

Hi all, Does anyone have any recs for a good GP in Brisbane, preferably on the northside? I have something wrong with my neck which has caused me pain for the last eight-ten years. No doctors I've ever been to believe there's anything wrong with me - they all say 'oh it's just stress' or something. ...

Re: wedding menu

We didn't have a starter, we had a spit-roast buffet for dinner & wedding cake and a fruit platter for dessert.

People are still raving about how good the food was!! We got three meats & hot and cold sides and there was more than enough for seconds.

Re: Wedding cost

^^^^agreed - we sat down when we first started planning our wedding and made a list of what was important to us. Therefore, that was what we spent the most money on. We did our wedding for $10,000 plus around $5000-$6000 for the honeymoon. We had 55 guests at the reception (more at the ceremony) and...

ear piercing brisbane north

I want to get my ears pierced again and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good hygenic professional place on the northside of brisbane or in the city?? Ideally I'd prefer somewhere that pierces with needles as opposed to a stud gun - those things freak me out a little, plus I'm concerned w...

Re: Car Ribbon Colours?

I got my ribbon from Lincraft, they sell by the metre. It was pretty expensive actually, I originally ordered it from ebay but it never arrived (grrrr) so I had to fork out for some at the last minute.

Re: Is it possible to renovate & stick to a budget??

Thanks for your reply!! I think we will stay away from a house that needs big renovations. Another quick question - when u first looked at your house before u bought it, did u actually like it before u had renovated it?? We saw a house that needs repainting & damage to the walls fixing and needs...

Is it possible to renovate & stick to a budget??

Hey, those of you who have renovated - can you stick to a budget, or does it always end up ridiculously blowing it out?? Would you renovate again?? What's it like doing it yourself?? We are having trouble getting a house because everything that is decent in our price range sells basically the second...

Re: wedding dress prices,

If that's 'your' dress and you can afford it (which it sounds like you can) then go for it - you should get married in your dream dress otherwise you might end up regretting it.

Re: Engagement shoots...

We had one, it was a great opportunity to get to know our photographer before the wedding day. It also gave him an opportunity to chat to us about what we liked/didn't like etc and what we wanted on the wedding day. Plus we got some amazing photos that are a little more casual than the wedding day o...

The best man drove the groom etc in their WRX, which is what DH wanted to arrive in. We didn't get ribbons or anything as he didn't want that.

Re: can you not invite a friends g/f?

That's a tough one. I had a similar situation where I didn't put 'plus 1' on the invites, and yet my cousins still decided that they were going to bring their boyfriends (who me & DH had never met) without asking. Caused an enormous row when we said no, and in the end we had to relent and allow ...

Brisbane suburb recommendations

Hi all, Looking to buy a house but we are having trouble. We can't afford to spend more than about $400,000 and we don't want to wind up with something that we blow out the budget doing reno's on either. We also want a house, not a unit or anything as we want to start a family. We want to live somew...

Re: Predicted rain on my day :-(

Like everyone else said, don't stress about the rain! It bucketed down on my wedding day but we just went outside and got photos anyway. They are amazing and so different to a lot of other people's wedding photos which I really love! :) 315945_10150290343619473_756469472_7817470_3873932_n.jpg 320678...

Re: How did you select your wedding gown? HELP!

I chose my dress before we had even 100% decided on our theme. I chose it because it made me feel amazing, and so I didn't even spare a thought as to whether it went with our theme or not. I found I was able to easily tie stuff in - I got flowers that matched both my dress and bm dresses, jewellry e...
