Re: Dress code on invites

I think it depends on the style you are going after. I personally would steer away from semi-formal. My ex-bestie had a beach wedding and half of the grooms friends turned up in board shorts and ties on to take the look to semi-formal. Pfft! It looked ridiculous. It drove my ex-bestie insane. Not e...

Re: would it be rude

Personally I dont think it would be rude it is your wedding after all and you can do what you want. Also Im the same as everyone else you would have to VERY VERY clear about the people having to buy their own drinks. For your small bar tab I think your better to put that only on non alcoholic drinks.

You start a new thread in the show and tell board. Then you put up pics of all the things you are thinking about or have chosen for your wedding. Its great for ideas and getting feedback and encouragement from other people.

Re: 2012 Brides

Re: Beach Wedding Colour Scheme

I think your original colours would still be fine for your wedding on the beach. My girlfriend used blush pink and creams at her beach wedding and it looked stunning. These are my dream colours for my wedding but all of my bridesmaids pretty much refused to wear pink. Can't help the fact that we ar...

Re: Colour themes for a beach wedding?

I'm having a beach wedding and our colours are teal and tangerine. I originally wanted yellow but my BM's wouldn't have a bar of it, so we changed it. orange and aqua wedding colours.jpg TealTangerine.jpg I love this too! Isn't it funny how the BMs seem to be able to control things. I had to change...

Re: Colour themes for a beach wedding?

Hi there! i just had my beach wedding, and i think the colors worked perfectly! The tones really allowed the photos to bring out the background. Even my flowers were neutral daisies. i know people think you need color otherwise it looks washed out, but i think that if you have a beautiful location,...

Can a Vintage Heapiece inspire a wedding?

So am I a little crazy but can you base an entire wedding thing on a single item. I found this beautiful JOhanna Johnson headpiece and it perfectly embodies everything that I want my beach wedding to be. Is that even possible?

Re: Edgewater Resort - Cook Island Wedding

Congrats, Im going to get married there in 2012. I have done quite alot of digging and have seen that September and October are the best months over there. We cant wait that so so are having ours hopefully in March.

Can I ask who your wedding coordinator is? Is it just with the resort?

Beach Wedding Colour Scheme

So my FH and I have finally decided on a destination wedding in Rarotonga. YES! We have also brought the date forward so instead of it being two years away it will be about 15months away. I personally always dreamed of a vintage country style wedding with bridemaids in a range of neutral blush pinks...

Re: Colour themes for a beach wedding?

Im also having a beach wedding (hamilton island) and i am having a very neutral color theme - cream, nude and gold tones I think its better to have neutral as it makes your background "pop" more - if you have a color that is too bright it can overtake the pictures i think :) So maybe stic...

Re: Destination Wedding Rarotonga

Wow, thank you everyone for your responses. I have been looking around and think that I may definitely go with Andrea from Wedded Bliss. Re: Destination Wedding Rarotonga

Actually I do have a question for you, did you have your ceremony on a beach or was it a grassed area like your photos. Can you recommend any shoes dresses that cater for beach/destination weddings?

Destination Wedding Rarotonga

After originally trying to plan a wedding in New Zealand, where we are both from, we realised just how much effort it is going to be. We both have MASSIVE families so when I realised that we probably couldn't get the guest list under 120 people and things just seemed a little big and expensive for m...
