Re: Rings

I don't mind the idea of reusing the engagement ring for ceremonial purposes on the day. I don't really want to get a custom made wedder just for the sake of it. I can understand about jewellery rashes! i used to get them all the time, but mainly with fashion jewellery. As for on your honeymoon, jus...

Re: Rings

Oh nice I like the symbolism behind the claddagh rings. I guess with weddings, it is each to their own. We are just so used to following traditions and forget to follow our own hearts at times.

Rings

Just wondering if any of you decided not to get a wedding ring, instead opting just to show your engagement ring or vice versa. The engagement ring, my partner and I decided on, is quite chunky art deco style and will need a custom made wedding band to go with it.Because its chunky, the lady was say...

Re: small wedding?? invite drama

Thanks, yeah your right, when we decide what we will have, I will tell my sister to have words with her hubby and my FH to have words with his mum. Silent treatment is gold :) or the invisibility cloak haha

small wedding?? invite drama

Hi everyone. My partner proposed to me about 6 weeks ago..He had a photo of the ring he was getting inside a box instead of an actual ring, which made me think he was joking. I soon realised he was being serious, he said he didn't have a ring inside because he wanted to be sure i liked his style of ...

Re: Newcastle / Hunter Valley Part 5

Hey,
Does anyone know any nice photo locations around Belmont, Warnersbay areas. The obvious is the lake and jetty, just wondering if there are any interesting buildings or other nice scenes for photos.

Re: family overseas

I know its really rude, family members who bludge off others. I agree if you cant afford to go somewhere you just dont go, or start saving!! Some people have no shame though!!

Re: family overseas

Yeah makes sense having it here then, his grandparents arent alive and only his mum, brother and aunts/uncles live in nz(not all would be invited anyway). His dad, a brother and closest mates live here. The only problem is the relos who will want to come to the wedding in nz will expect us to pay fo...

Re: BM selecting dresses that cost over $500?

Every wedding i've been bridesmaid i've had to buy my own dress. I just got together with the bridesmaids and said this is the budget you look around and i'll look around and then see what we find. Many times bought offline and no probs. The bride has paid for my hair and makeup.

Re: Daydream Island Wedding HELP PLEASE

Hi, My sister got married on daydream island around 6 years ago now. It was beautiful , it had a nice little chapel and great photo shots everywhere. They only had around 25 people, immediate family and few friends. We stayed on the island for a few days and loved it. They chose to have a destinatio...

Re: Is this rude?

I can't believe how rude people are when it comes to weddings. A cousin of mine decided to invite all cousins and partners(even though us cousins arent close), but there were a few who assumed their kids would also be invited (under 5yrs). When they were told no kids, they had their noses out. Can't...
