Re: Goorm and Groomsmen transportation to Church

I think the main thing is you both have to decide what is the important things to include in the wedding and go from there.

Re: Worst or most stressful part of organising a wedding?

I would say the whole guest thing has been the most stressful so far when we decided to get married it was going to be a trip to melbourne to the registry office with a couple of friends and that was it, then our adult kids said no we want to be there, thats fine but they all knew they had to pay to...

Re: Invitation Designer - how to deal with them?! LONG

if you want to include all those things for printing, I would suggest you find a free template to download, (there are quite a few out there), with a design you like then use the template for all you want to do. when I downloaded the one for our invite the template included a rsvp and thank you card...

Re: Menu - what would you choose?

if its just two vegetarians couldnt you just let them know that there is an option for them and let them know so they can tell you prior to the day so you can sort it. Luckily we dont have vegetarians coming to ours but I have a few issues with food intolerances so we had to pick a lunch menu that c...

Re: Flowers vs....?

one of the weddings we went to the bridesmaids had corsages and carried parasols (middle of summer and they were grateful for them). I am not a flower person, cant have real flowers due to serious hayfever problems, and not having bridesmaids so dont have to worry about that, but didnt want to not c...

Re: anyone DIY makeup

I did my own hair and makeup for my first wedding, it wasnt hard and compared to make up artists at that time it was cheaper and I didnt run the risk of looking like a clown (first marriage was in the 1980's) this time around I am pampering myself and getting my hair and makeup done on the day, we a...

Re: Bridal Party

the person who said it is a friend of a friend, so no chance of ever being BM and no chance in hell of getting an invite lol

just go with what suits you, so many traditions dont happen in weddings these days, its what makes everyones unique, it represents you and your FH. :)

Re: HELP!! Need to severely cut down our budget!!

with the invites either go to vistaprint (yes I will still recommend them even though they caused me headaches) or do what I did which was get the supplies, find a free downloadable template on the net (most have the rsvp and thank you cards templates included) and do them yourself, I saved alot of ...

Re: Bridal Party

I am sure it will be fine, we are the opposite, no bridesmaids, both our adult sons are our witnesses so one on my side, one on FH side. The only catty comment I had was from someone not even invited to the wedding saying I was being a total bridezilla by not allowing any other females on the bridal...

make sure its in view and that its one where alot of people can see it, have known some weddings where envelopes were taken out of the wishing well, they were always in a corner and out of view from alot of people.

Re: where to get ready on The Big Day!?

we dont have any family or friends here so we are both getting ready at home. I am going to the hairdressers in the morning with the girls who are coming over for the wedding (I am not having bridemaids) and the salon is closing its doors to other customers for the time we are there and they are sup...

I didnt want a traditional dress (2nd time marriage) but got talked into trying on all the normal whit...
