Re: What do you think!!?

:) I think i agree with Lanta Bride... I am also having the rustic theme and using burlap/hessian/lace etc... for me I think I would go something a bit more natural... are you able to use candles??? It is hard to tell though... looking at the last picture, with it lighting up the greenery it looks f...

Re: How to politely tell people...

No I wouldn't ask a family member either, but thought of asking my sister if any of her friends (that aren't invited to the wedding) would be interested. In the end we have just sent a message back to this particular person, asking what they had thought of doing in the way of childcare for their two...

Re: What makes a good wedding?

Yes, I tend to agree with most of these. At the end of the day for me, it isn't about how much money is spent etc or how flashy it is, it's about the people, and atmosphere. All I want is for everbody to leave saying that they had a Great Day/Night! It's funny someone mentioned the favours, I was up...

Re: How to politely tell people...

We are getting married on the Hibiscus Coast, I was even thinking about asking my younger sister, who is mid twenty's if she has any friends that may be interested in baby sitting. Now I don't know what to do in the way of the guests, at this stage none have said they aren't coming due to the kids, ...

Re: How to politely tell people...

Just another thing... I don't have children so I cannot make any judgement or assume things. But those of you that do, would you consider leaving your children with a babysitting service at the motel??? Our venue is about a 10 - 15minute drive away from the area where people are staying. I'm not sur...

Re: How to politely tell people...

I do agree that it is a big ask to expect people to travel without their children, and that is why I am starting to feel guilty about it. To be honest there are only a couple of families that this really affects. I guess I suggest to this couple that we have not catered for children, however suggest...

How to politely tell people...

We are having our wedding over in NZ and are not inviting children, mauinly becaue the venue isn't overly big and we already have 120 guests invited, also if all the children came there would be more children than adults! This is going to be an issue for those people living in NZ, and most of our gu...

Corset or no Corset???

Re: What makes a good wedding?

Definately seeing the bride and groom enjoying themselves on the day and as relaxed as possible makes a great difference! Also I love going to weddings where I can see the braide and groom have made the day just as they want it to be, reflecting both of them. I remember being younger and dreaming of...

Re: What makes a good wedding?

Totally agree with the alcohol! We are fortunate enough to have a BYO venue, there will definately be enough alcohol to go around until the end of the night.

Re: What are you walking down the aisle to?

I love the song 'Making Memories of Us' - It's a Keith Urban song, but there are some great covers! Ideally I will have a live acoustic version of it! Fingers crossed. Not too sure what to have as the recessional song...

What makes a good wedding?

I have about 5 months until my wedding and apart from myself and FH having a wonderful day I want the guests to have a great day too! In my experience people are sometimes quick to critisise or make comment about other peoples wedding... which got me thinking... What makes a great wedding?? My thoug...

Re: Memorial Candle

Yeah I think it is a lovely idea as well. My FH's grandmother passed away a couple of weeks ago, and we were both close with her. I found out a few days later that my grandfather has being diagnosed with cancer and the prognosis is not good. He is our last living Grandparent so we were hoping to mak...
