What is your dream wedding ride?

Tue Mar 24, 2009 1:55 pm

I like drama and fantasy so if I were to wed, I'd go for a horse drawn carriage. Just like royalty

The one that FH and I wanted but couldn't afford was a 2008 Holden Statesman Super Stretch, only one in the country! but for over $1500 for 4 hours we have ended up with a *$&* ford 8 seater under $600 for 5 hours.

I still wish we had gotten the holden but we couldn't justify the cost

Maybe you could compromise and the zoo could organise something else for you?!!

I'm lusting after a MKIV Jag... still trying to decided whether we really need to spend $585 on a car or not... (I'm leaning towards yes!)

OMG can I change to this too?!?!

Also after giving it some more though, a hot air balloon would be awesome to arrive in as well if it wouldn't mess up hair and probably make up!

We would have loved the stretch hummer but our ceremony location didn't allow for one in their car park and it would have been too difficult!

Boat :)

I would never have been able to do that though, I'd be too clumsy getting out and onto stable land!

:arrow2: Chopper - but had no room in town, so instead gave DH a joy flight the morning of the wedding to give him something to do!
:arrow2: Horse and cart (not the pretty carriages like the other girls, but a wagon-type cart) - was booked, but the driver's wife got very very sick, and no one ever called me to let me know he wouldn't be around... I found out the night before.... (but kind of had a feeling it wasn't going to work out)
:arrow2: We ended up using our very own black Commodore ute, which DH had had for ages, and we've taken on numerous trips around the country in - it's like part of the family!! It was a very last minute thing, but I couldn't have been happier - it meant that while we were driving around for the photos DH and I were alone with each other, which was really nice!

I wonder if this person realises that they are posting in an Aussie forum when they are obviously just trying to spruik their business thats in New York :?

But I had my dream ride for our wedding, my Uncles vintage Jags. I'm sure DH would have loved a Mustang or something

I booked my dream wedding car a couple of weeks after we got engaged :) London taxi - I've always wanted one and it fits with the theme too.

Other wise I fell in  with Eleanor from Gone in 60 seconds (Shelby Mustang GT500). That would be my ultimate car full stop!!!

My ultimate car is a 1965 red convertable mustang with white leather interior!
In fact I changed the whole colour theme of the wedding around this car which I hadn't even found yet!
At the wedding expo in Canberra in jan/feb, I turned around and there she was.... a '65 red convertable mustang with white leather interior!!!!!
I booked right there without talking to FH cause I wanted to make sure it was locked in... I was squealing like an idiot! 8O
I also booked the same car but a coupe for the bridesmaids, '65 red but with black leather interior.
These photos are the actual cars!!!!!
My car!
