Faux fur stole in Brisbane?

Thu Apr 23, 2009 10:02 am

Ok, so 16 days out from my wedding I have decided that Id likea faux fur stole/wrap cause I think Ill get a little cold up in the mountains running around having photos taken! Something like this

Or this

I think I'd prefer something that does up with a smallish diamonte clip rather than a ribbon, due to the ribbon on my dress, but I guess 16 days out I can't be too fussy! I has a look on ebay, but most of the ones I found seem to be from Hong Kong, and I dont think it would get here in time.

Have any Brisbane girls seen any around?

Events at Carindale had some of them that I saw a few weeks ago, they weren't quite as wide as the one in your picture though. They did have white from memory, but I haven't been past there for a while, so I'm not sure if they are still there.
Have you checked if any of the bridal shops around town stock them? Otherwise somewhere like Keri Craig in the city might have something like that, they usually have some lovely plush things.

Would this do? http://www.feather.com.au/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=205&zenid=d4003d840522fe495cc89444734520f0

You could take out the ribbon to add a diamonte clip?

Keri Craig is on the bottom level of Brisbane Arcade, which runs between Adelaide street and the Queen street Mall in Brisbane. It's just up a little from Broadway, in the direction of the river.

I also just found these on Madaboochoo, they are feather though, not fur. But I think Madaboochoo is based in Brisbane, which is why I thought of them: http://www.madaboochoo.com.au/boutique/ ... oleros.htm
One last thought, I'm sure I've seen some of the dresses at BiBowden bridal at Stones Corner with stoles on their models. It might pay to give them a call and find out.

I just found this on their website: http://www.bibowden.com.au/collections/2007/?id=5
It's from the 2007 collection, but they may still stock the stoles. You could find a really pretty brooch for it and cut the ribbon off perhaps?

May I suggest jennifer from Caracal fashions. She is in Cairns but I have heard nothing but good reviews from her.
