Videographer Melbourne - under $1,500?

Wed Jun 17, 2009 9:58 am

Does anyone have any recs? I don't want to spend over $1,500 and would prefer two or three cameras! Thanks.

I may be completely wrong, but for that kind of money for that many cameras you'll be looking at having amateurs doing your photography - maybe students at best.

Depending on what you want your coverage to include, $1500 is quite a low amount for quality photography for one camera IMO.

Also are you getting married on a Saturday? If you're getting married on another day you might be able to negotiate a cheaper rate... although being in October you still might not get far.

Sorry I misread - I thought you said photography.

Still, I think $1500 for 2+ cameras in October is pretty ambitious...

Do you have any friends with a videocamera that can record for you? Will be a lot cheaper to do.

Also check out Burgess Video http://www.burgessvideo.com.au/
I've booked with them (my weddings not till April) but their sample DVD was really good & they stay till the very end of reception which set them apart from others in that price range & have 2 cameras for the preps & ceremony.

Try Glenn from Cinema Weddings - his prices are pretty good.

You could also try http://www.saxonproductions.com.au, they are pretty much within your price range, but there is only one guy with a camera. We used him, and we were happy with the outcome, especially for the price. Definitely worth a look.
