I've had them before at functions. They're lovely, very different. At first, I was like "WTF, why is there a flower in my drink??" but then I got the idea. It does nothing to the flavour of your champers, but the effect visually is good
They provide a gorgeous colour to the champers, and I think sweeten it a little bit. Especially if you add some of the juice. I was looking at having these for our toasts, but thought it would be a bit fiddly and expensive.
I love them and have brought them for my wedding they sweeten your drink a little u just put them in the bottom of your glass and they open up a little from memory they are rhubarb and something else flavoured I don't like rhubarb but they are really cool.. U can eat the flower as well
My FMIL introduced me to these! At first I was a little shocked by the colour of my champers - but I think it made the drink look really pretty.. Can't say it made the champagne taste any different.. Just made them look pretty
I love hibiscus flowers in champagne, you just put them in the bottom as the fizz of the champagne opens the flowers..and makes it a pretty pinkish colour. I think it makes it taste a bit sweeter. If I had known about them for my wedding I would have had them! We had lavender champagne at our engagement..was so nice
YEP we had them for our post ceremony congratulatory toast. You are suppose to add some of the liquid which does slightly make the champers a little sweeter as well as add a little colour. They looked great and made the champagne more unique and interesting. It was a talking point and some of the younger guys were 'dared' to eat the hibiscus because one of our older guests didnt believe you could eat it. It made for an interesting discussion point and a fun little addition to our wedding video of the guys tossing back the champers then eating the flower.
I bought some to pop into the ladies champagne glass for toasting...Thought it would be a different touch....I also use them at home when having champ's...it makes the champ's sweeter if you add some syrup. You can also buy them at BBQ Galore...however they are quite expensive...I bought 4 Jars @ $12.50 each....I was told by a friend later you can order them online for a lot cheaper
