I've been considering getting an evening gown tailored so I can change into that halfway through the reception :D

id probably have a different out fit to change into for when you leave. then yu can leave your dress with a friend or family member to look after.

I didn't bother with a going away/leaving outfit. From our reception, we went straight to our hotel, and I wore my wedding dress there. I loved my dress to bits, and there was no way I was going to take it off before I needed to!

Wouldnt you still have the same issue regardless of where and when you change out of your wedding dress???? You would still need to trust someone to take it with them when they leave (a lot of guests continue to party either at the same venue or a different venue after the bride and groom leave and most are quite drunk by the end of the night anyway). They would still need to take DH outfit back the following day anyway. And surely you have at least ONE person you can trust and rely on to get the outfits the next day from your hotel?????? Wouldnt the groomsmen need to return their suits too?????

Same with us, we ended up leaving my wedding dress and Dh's suit with the Hotel Concierge at Crown Towers, they kept it there for us all bagged and lined until my MOH could pick them up for us, we had a butler service and they even pressed Dh's suit for him, ha which was only a hire suit

Yeah, we will be having outfits to leave in. Staying in all our wedding attire until we have to leave, and then changing and having my mum take our stuff home with her. I don't trust myself to not ruin it somehow by having it with me that night or the next day.
