Would you wear this to a wedding?

Mon Jul 19, 2010 7:54 pm

Hi ladies,

I have a wedding coming up in october. It's a morning wedding (11am I think), and I love this dress but not sure if it's a bit pale for a wedding? I love the micro pleats in the skirt :D  It's descirbed as being a 'blush' colour.

I think you will look gorgeous, its definitely quite far away from white I think. Plus the black ribbon casts any doubt aside :)

I love it, it's very 'you' Loz!

I certainly wouldn't have a problem if someone wore that dress to my wedding, but then some brides are obviously more particular about guests wearing white or pale shades. Do you know the bride personally? If so, it couldn't hurt to ask if she's ok with it!

I don't think it's too pale at all. Maybe you could get a black shawl or cardi to go with it too?

It's a lovely dress! I think if you accessorise with colour (ribbon, shoes, handbag, jewellery), that will lessen the 'lightness' of the outfit.

I absolutely agree. I think its a beautiful dress but some brides can be very funny about what guests wear (as we all know!), so its probably best to sus out what the bride might think first (and where did u actually get it from btw?? )

I think the black sash should compensate for the pale colour, wouldn't phase me in the least if someone wore that to our wedding!

I love it! And wouldn't care at all if a guest wore that to our wedding (and my dress IS blush pink!) but I know that some people would care... :?

I'd wear it. :D

Unless her dress has a black sash, which a lot seem to lately, here is my friends wedding dress.
But I do agree it didn't bother me in the slightest what guests wore to our wedding, but then I was very relaxed. Its a beautiful dress

I would definitely like it if someone wore something like that to our wedding. It's very appropriate and extremely pretty!

Thats a gorgeous dress!!!!! Where are you getting it from! I definately think you can wear it to a wedding. Its not diamond white, it has the sash and it looks like a really nice flowy dress!!!!

I think it's gorgeous and very appropriate - you aren't likely to look like the bride, especially with the right shoes and accessories.

I'd also be happy if a guest wore that to my wedding

Sorry to go against the grain, but I have to disagree. Before my wedding I would have said yeah, that would be fine, I wouldn't mind at all. But someone wore something similar to my wedding, and in the reception photos of everyone dancing, you actually can't tell who the bride is as I wore a short white reception dress (see attached pic). So I would have to say no, probably not the best choice for a wedding. It didn't actually upset me on the day, but it has meant I can't use many of these types of photos.

Unless of course you know the bride well enought to just ask her.
