Lipstick/gloss question

Fri Aug 20, 2010 11:21 am

Hello!

I was just wondering what did you do with regards to BM's lips. Did you buy them all matching lipstick's or did you get them to bring their own? I am getting my BM's makeup done in neutral colours so I was just thinking of telling my BM's to bring their own neutral lipstick or gloss. They will most likely already have the colours I mean.

What are you all doing?
Thanks!

I think my BMs BYO'ed their own shades to touch up after having their make-up done, but I honestly don't remember. I'm a BM for my sister's wedding in 2 weeks' time, and I'm planning on bringing my own neutral pink shade for touch-ups.

I told them they could bring their own neutral one, or if they wanted the specific colour used on the day then to pick a lippy from Mac or Napoleon as they're the ones our MUA used.

There's something I hadn't thought about!

I'd be a bit nervous that my bridemaids idea of something neutral might be different to mine!

Might get them together before the wedding and see what girls are thinking to wear and if any are too "way out" can nip it in the bud.

I told mine to bring their own.

However, there was one bridesmaid I knew would prob forget, so I brought along a little make-up case of lippies/glosses that I had in my make-up drawer.

I would definitely let them have their own - some colours do not work on everyone and I would not want them to feel unflattered but not say anything about it on the day

I'm letting them have their own choice.. I don't think lip colour matters that much :e_think:

Sure tell them to bring a neutral shade of lip gloss or something…I’m sure that’ll work well… :) Or, you could always ask the makeup artist to lend you a tube...they do that sometimes I've heard.

For my sister's wedding, the MUA told us to touch up with clear gloss only.

I got my girls gloss sticks as part of their gifts. It was a double ended one so they had a choice between 2 colours and both were neutral pinks.
