Those that had menus on the tables...

Tue Aug 31, 2010 7:58 pm

...did you have a small menu at each place setting, or one menu in the centre of the table? :)

It's been a long time since I've been to a wedding and I can't remember what the 'norm' is.

We're going to have one in the centre, maybe double-sided with the table number.

We are having one at each place setting, because we are having a choice of meal options for each course. If it was alternative drop, we'd probably have 1 or 2 menus in the middle instead.

I had one per person. Tucked in the napkin.

We're having one per person just because that's what the venue provides, but I prefer that anyway.

This is smart - if people actually need the menu to chose their meal, I would provide one per person. If it is just for information sakes, then I think 1 or 2 per table is fine.

We have 3 options per course that people can chose from, so we will be doing one per person, probably tucked into their napkin so it doesn't make the table too "busy".

We had 2 per table with menu on one side, guests names and drinks on the other sides. Simple but effective :D

Thanks everyone. I think I'll just stick to one per table as we'll be having alternate drop. Menu would be more for information purposes only.

OoooOOoooOooo.....I like the idea of it folded like that. I assume it's an A4 card folded in three? How did you stick the ends of the paper together so it didn't open up?

Yes, one of my crafty BM's did these :D Just leave a 1-2cm edge on the end of one side and then use scrapbooking tape or similar to stick it down after folding in 3.
