Our 10 Year Anniversary **Decided, thank you!!**

Wed Dec 29, 2010 3:24 pm

OK...so this is probable a little premature but I thought I would start it early to try and get as many ideas as possible.

Next month is 10 years since hubby and I met (October will be 10 years since we became a couple). I am looking for all different ideas to celebrate and would like something amazing so we remember it forever. Obviously we have just gotten married so there is not much that will match that  Not quite sure if this will be a surprise for hubby yet. Am open to all ideas, weekends away, family get togethers, trips etc

Thanks ladies :D

This might sound a bit 'cheesy', but what about a vow renewal? It's very close to your 1st wedding anniversary!!

How about giving him a collection of photographs taken ten years ago and now? You could have them compiled like a storybook. With regards to celebration.. hmm maybe do something you've always wanted to do before a baby comes?

^^ All very good ideas!
Russa, I remember seeing a while back you posting about considering going to Europe next year- what about coinciding that trip with your anniversary (if you arent PG by then). That would certainly be something to remember, and could be your last big trip before bubs. But of course it all depends whether you are lucky enough to fall PG between now and then :D

Thanks ladies, you have given me some great things to think about! I especially love the vow renewal and trip to Europe, but that will also depend on a pregnancy like you said SpecialKK.

Depending where u met/where u where when he asked u out - maybe you could incorporate this venue?

Also, again depending what u had, a friend of mine very cleaverly incorporated her "something old, new, borrowed, blue" into their anniversary.

Gets the mind ticking.

ooohhh good question!! We've been together about 8.5 years now, so 6 months after the wedding it will be our 10 year anniversary.

We are hoping to be in Europe around that time, so a trip to Paris or Rome/Venice might be our plan...

Great ideas everyone!

I agree girls, so many wonderful ideas! I think I have decided (even though there is plenty of time! ) I am going with the Hot Air Balloon idea incorporated with an accommodation package at our Wedding Venue in the Yarra Valley - Balgownie Estate. I will wait until October, as this will be our official Anniversary and is also our one year Wedding Anniversary. This is what it will include:

* Spa Suite accommodation for two (going to try and get the same room we had on our wedding night)
* Two hot air balloon flights with Balloon Sunrise over the magnificent Yarra Valley
* Gift Pack of three Premium Balgownie Estate Wines to take home - Yarra Valley Chardonnay, Yarra Valley Pinot Noir and our flagship Bendigo Cabernet Sauvignon
* One $50 Spa Pass to put towards any Natskin Spa Retreat treatment

I am going to add on one extra night. I think DH will be thrilled, can't wait to share this idea with him, he has always wanted to go in a Hot Air Balloon

Again, thanks everyone. You all had some great ideas! :D

My man took me hot air ballooning the morning he proposed - it was fabulous. You are going to have an amazing time!

Well, what kinds of things do you like to do together, or do you talk about doing together?
Are you active? Do you like more quiet things?
I'd probably plan a getaway to somewhere exotic- go to Vietnam or something cool.
